I think they will move to BBDEP since ARBP is like BRAM AMDEP... Sv 63 is BRAM alsoOriginally posted by iveco:Read about this at another forum. Seems there are reliable sources to confirm it. Wonder what will happen to ARBP services when it happens. Some questions are what will happen to 195 & whether BNDEP will be rebuilt. And is 63 majority BBDEP?
I prefer the idea of a bus park @ Loyang to handle PSR routes if there is no action taken in BDK. If ARBP moves there, the following could happen:Originally posted by sbst275:I think they will move to BBDEP since ARBP is like BRAM AMDEP... Sv 63 is BRAM also
BNDEP is building a mulit storey bus depot
Ive's imaginationOriginally posted by Volvo Olympian:Then where LYBP located?at Loyang area?
proposed Loyang Bus Park in Loyang Industrial Park. That area is served by Svc 6 from PSR Int.Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:Then where LYBP located?at Loyang area?
I call it LYSIPOriginally posted by iveco:proposed Loyang Bus Park in Loyang Industrial Park. That area is served by Svc 6 from PSR Int.
LYSIP?What is that mean?Originally posted by sbst275:I call it LYSIP
Loyang Special Ind Pk as it is not for conventional industries... It mainly houses aerospace like Pratt and Whitney that makes engine for F-15, F-16, F-18...Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:LYSIP?What is that mean?
Wrong. SBS Transit announced during the launch of SLBP that BNDEP will be rebuilt as a multi-storey bus depot. However that plan has been shelved due to economical reasons.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Oh.. IMO.. ARBP will be moved to Bukit Batok.. From what i know.. in the past.. when SLBP first opened, they once said that BB will be the nxt bus park that will be converted into a multistorey Bus Parik.. so... IMO.. ARBP will be moved into BB.. and.. like what some other ppl had said.. Rite now.. BB bus park still hAVE space for more buses...
In the end, dist has to be redrawn for the CBD based rts like 195Originally posted by SBS9816E:Actually, I think such plan may be extended to a later date.
The reason why ARBP is there is because it serves a strategic location for buses of nearby interchanges to park. (for e.g. Clementi Int, Buona Vista Terminal, Harbourfront, Marina Centre) If ARBP is to be removed, buses of the mentioned terminals/interchanges may have to shift all the way up to Bukit Batok Depot, which means longer travelling time for the buses to travel from depot <--> interchange.
CLE buses don't park @ ARBP. It is BBDEP that supplies CLE Int.Originally posted by SBS9816E:Actually, I think such plan may be extended to a later date.

I have seen off-duty SBST buses along CLE Ave 6 towards PIE. If those are not CLE Int buses heading towards BBDEP, what else can they be?Originally posted by SBS9818A:Since you assert all Clementi Interchange services have buses parking in BBDEP, explain Sv 14.
You assumed all CLE services are under BBDEP. You forgot about Sv. 14 which is ARBP.Originally posted by iveco:I have seen off-duty SBST buses along CLE Ave 6 towards PIE. If those are not CLE Int buses heading towards BBDEP, what else can they be?
Also, there are occasional cameos by JB buses on CLE svcs. AFAIK, the JB buses are based in BBDEP.

Anyway, I thought Svc 14 took over the buses used on the former Svc 92 after they merged & ARBP supplied Svc 14 Mk 2s while BNDEP provided the CRBs (a rare commodity in my area) pre-merger.

BRAM DOES NOT control AMDEP, it is the other way around. If I'm not wrong, and if my memory is working, the old Sv 92 was controlled by AMDEP.Originally posted by iveco:Yah, u got me off-guard on this one.
