In my opinion, i doubt SMRT will rot, unless the government promote flexibility in the areas which the bus company could serve. Furthermore, NEL and SMRT lines are two different issues. In my point of view, even if how fantastically done for NEL, and how sucky smrt trains are. Passengers do not have a choice and will still continue taking trains. Usually deploy Malaysian Lances, these type of buses, length too short, too cosy, at peak hour, the 852 bus is very crowded at NJC, HCJC and NYGH. Should deploy bendy on 852 during peak hours. Rather, SMRT should be giving it up... Cutting the no of trains and making it so packed, it has started to turn away passengers... Thinking of asking SBS to make rts to complete with SMRT trains..
