Major route changes to Sv 401 - Bedok Int to Stadium (Loop)

Why make the route so odd? Can't they make it loop at National Stadium like Svc 31 used to do?

On its previous route, service 401 passes by City Hall MRT station (Stamford Rd/Bras Basah Rd) but the demand is still very weak. How many passengers will take the service from East Coast Park to National Stadium and vice-versa? Most of them taking from East Coast Park only want a link to the nearest MRT station or places where they can transfer to other services.Originally posted by iveco:Why make the route so odd? Wait till the goddamn CCL starts running. The previous route (Orchard, National Stadium and ECP) covered two obscure areas that have no relationship to each-other. Nobody wants to travel from National Stadium to ECP and vice versa. The only interest is from the MRT or central area to either the stadium or ECP.

I noticed that Sv 401 has been running for 2 consecutive Friday evenings already. 24th and 30th respectively. Will keep a look out to see if this a trend or perm Friday evenings service

401 did not run on 30th dec.
It will never run on Friday, not even permanent, but only when it is an eve of a public holiday or it falls on the public holiday itself.
Public Holidays and their eves have first priority over the day of the week, and will run on Sunday and Saturday schedules respectively.
