TIB 727 U

  Boarded 727U two days ago and saw a long EDS inside the bus on the ceiling. Looks like the habit bendy kind but its black and more rounded. Wonder what is it for.

  821E has a LCD TV with "GDS coming your way...".
  
  shld be some trail of some sort of Visual Passenger Information System (VPIS).

  I remembered travelling on a bus with ceiling mounted EDS on svc 171 abt three years ago (unsure if its TIB727U). The EDS would flash the bus-stop locations throughout the journey.
  eg : Sembawang Air Base; Khatib Camp......
  
  I believe the descriptions were manually updated by the driver then.

  977P or 978L has a speaker mounted below the aircon cage, behind the driver's cabin. Also has a long flexible microphone like thing at the driver's window.
  
  1182J also had a LCD, but was removed for quite some time.

  You are right. This is the bus.
