By introducting of such service makes residents living in Bukit Panjang area more accessible within a lesser time rather den just take MRT and pass thru Jurong East & Outrum Park/Woodlands & Dhoby Ghaut which is a big round and longer journey if you were to take a direct bus service to Sengkang.Originally posted by Zilchster:Is there a need for a service to be introduced from Bukit Panjang to Sengkang? SMRT will extend 180 to SKG over its dead body. But it may extend it towards SBW when the new interchange is ready over there.Originally posted by PJ_Quek:People from SKG, AMK and HGN can get an alternative to NP/SIM/SP besides 74. Maybe 180 can be extended, since 180 only ply between BPJ and BNL, other routes such as 75 and 176 are too long to be extended.
hmm.. good idea for wat u say abt svc 180 being extend to the upcoming SBW bus interchange.. but as for SKG, i suggest of introducing another svc directly from BPJ interchange to SKG interchange.Originally posted by iveco:SMRT will extend 180 to SKG over its dead body. okie.. i've already plan out a proposal which i'm going to e-mail to the SMRT Buses Ltd. I will send u the file through e-mail. Can u pls PM mi your e-mail so tat i can send it to u? Thanks!Originally posted by PJ_Quek:Write to LTA also, since LTA is responsible for the building of BI right?
BPJ need a bus to go to SKG. For instance:
BNL or BBTBPJ
BKE
Mandai Rd
Upp Thomson Rd
AMK
HGN
SKG
People from SKG, AMK and HGN can get an alternative to NP/SIM/SP besides 74. Maybe 180 can be extended, since 180 only ply between BPJ and BNL, other routes such as 75 and 176 are too long to be extended.
New feeder service, maybe don't call along Bukit Panjang Rd, but in call along Senja Rd (West Spring Sec Sch and Zhenghua Sec Sch, these 2 schools are some distance away from LRT ) and loop at Segar Rd before heading back to BPJ BI. However, these areas are not fully developed yet, ridership might not enough.
184 and 75 are duplicating in BPJ. Bukit Panjang Rd and Petir Rd are withing walking distances. 184 should be amended to as followed: Upper Bukit Timah Rd -> Cashew Rd -> Petir Rd -> Pending Rd -> Fajar Rd -> Jelapang Rd -> Bukit Panjang Ring Rd -> Jelebu Rd -> BPJ BI
Another suggestion for 184 is as followed: Pending Rd -> Petir Rd -> Dairy Farm Rd -> Upper Bukit Timah, another possible amendment when Petir Rd is extended to Dairy Farm Rd, so that 921 can be amended, and 184 will not be duplicating with 75 in BPJ.
921 maybe can be withdrawn, or amended to serve people in Segar and Senja areas. Since BPJ BI already have 75 to serve Petir Rd. Nearby Jelebu Rd also have 963, 960 and 171 to serve Petir Rd.
Well, if this were the case, don't forget about 168, 161, 965 and 969...Originally posted by kenny_cai:Don't forget that the MRT comes first in public transport. That's what all these transport companies want us to do: take the MRT. Buses are secondary.
Even so, I still think that a service from BP to Sengkang is still redundant. With a "direct" rail connection there, why bother having us take a bus?
Ok. Why not extend 161?Originally posted by slwsglz:or ask smrt to intro new bus service.new service will ply from bukit panjang interchange to sengkang via espressway.

No.. The SMRT has not even reply me till now since late Dec last year..!!! I dun think SMRT will take all these comments tat we sent thru e-mail seriously, like see alreadi juz hack-care tat kind of attitude, i supposed ba..Originally posted by phillipC:Hello Victor Lim.
any positive reply from the suggestion you feed to SMRT?
Er.. is TIB638T.. TIB637X if i'm not wrong, it's the scania bus with the Power 98 ad on the both sides and the Epson ad on the back. TIB638T is the one which is still in TIBS livery and has no ad on it..Originally posted by tib725a:hmmm i prefer 920 and 921 merge like one of the intra- town svcs... so tt u can they can combine the buses or even best bendy( but in petir there iz a stretch of road tt requires 921 to u turn....so dunno can use bendy) and mayb we can see the originals: TIB 541m, TIB 725a, TIB 967t and TIB 637(wdls) so tt we can stop seeing the UD cameos...
180 can be extended to SBW in future.Originally posted by tib725a:if u implement those svc the svc captains driving 180 will start to grumble!!
If the two services merge, frequency will be longer due to low load on service 921. Do you think the passengers of service 920 will like it?Originally posted by tib725a:hmmm i prefer 920 and 921 merge like one of the intra- town svcs... so tt u can they can combine the buses or even best bendy( but in petir there iz a stretch of road tt requires 921 to u turn....so dunno can use bendy) and mayb we can see the originals: TIB 541m, TIB 725a, TIB 967t and TIB 637(wdls) so tt we can stop seeing the UD cameos...
I don't think so..Originally posted by tranquilice:If the two services merge, frequency will be longer due to low load on service 921. Do you think the passengers of service 920 will like it?![]()
Yes, don't merge the two services. Because one is high demand while the other is super low demand.Originally posted by icydevilvic88:I don't think so..They will sure start to wonder why the svc's frequency is getting longer and longer. If really like that then i rather svc 920 don't merge with svc 921. Let svc 920 have 3 buses as usual.

I have ever suggested to SBST to extend Svc 161 to CCK via BKE & KJE. But they replied that it's not possible to pass through 2 TIBS-controlled int/areas as stated in the LTA code or somrthing like that.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:Ok. Why not extend 161?
