Anyone still remember this service? Kinda miss it so much.....Used to take it to school everyday.It started off at Kg Chai chee terminal with North & South Two way plates,it merged into 1 when the terminal ceased operating & moved to Bedok interchange.It also charge higher(30cents) than most feeder service at that time(15cents)guess that its because of the longer route it ply after merging. I think it was withdrawn during early 90s. Felt that it was such a highly demand service esp to students in Bedok,how come it was chopped off
Some of the other services I missed in Bedok are 207,221c,221G,221W.... -

The discontinued services aside, 225 is one of the longest life service around, without changing of routes. With excellent frequency somemore.

Yes! Still remember it. Used to take it to school. Still remember there was also a bus with the unique bodywork exclusive to Service 224. A true 'Townlink' service connecting 3 parts of Bedok New Town.

Bedok Int, Bedok North Ave 1, Bedok North Rd, New Upp Changi Rd, Bedok South Ave 3, Bedok South Rd, (Bedok North Ave 1), Chai Chee St, Rd, New Upp Changi Rd, Bedok South Rd, Bedok South Ave 3, New Upp Changi Rd, Bedok North Rd, Bedok North Ave 1 and Bedok Int.
* During the period of service, service 224 charged flat fare of 40 cents instead of the usual 25 cents.
* This service was withdrawn in mid-90s.

What were the model used for 224?I'm not really well verse in model/make.But I can remember the buses use those manual gear transmission type & the windows "rattle"very much on the go.Also the door bell is those very long PVC type that connect whole of the top part of the bus. Still remember when the bus is very crowded & was forced to stand in front,often get 'burnt'by the heat from the super big gearbox....those were the days

Well, Bedok (or Chai Chee) feeders normally used Albion Vikings in the 70s and 80s. They were then replaced by Volvo B57s followed by the current fleet of Scania N113. I wasn't too sure about the make of the unique bus, but it should be a rebodied Leyland Victory as the bus was a 12m bus. When I moved to Bedok back in 1989, I only noticed that most of the feeders at Bedok used mainly B57s with the exception of then Service 219, which uses 9m Vikings and Service 224 with 12m Vikings. What memories!
