I agree, it is actuallyu easier to tell 101 svc no. than 161, bcos 161 has destination written.Originally posted by Acx1688:I believe the destinations were taken out as they were to small to see from afar especially 3 digit services eg 196. It used to be listed as Clementi and Bedok. That "squeezed" the svc number too close together. In addition the destos on the side would have a better indication on where the bus actually plies and to which destination it's heading
There's a differentiation between TIBS[SMRT buses] and SBST. Firstly, SMRT buses have destos on the front because the buses left side only indicate the sv no. For SBST, only the front indicate the svc number coz on the left side it actually shows the destination it's heading and the roads it plies. Personally i think that SBST side desto plates are more beneficiary as passengers are able to confirm where they are going before boarding as the destos are normally near the entrance. For SMRT, you have to go to the front and wait for the info to flash.Originally posted by LazerLordz:I prefer the TIBS displays on their Hispanos.
Look at this:Originally posted by Nou_Camp:1 more unusual encounter on bus 143, this service was recently extended from Teban Gardens to Jurong East interchange, the desination displayed on the left of the route number is "Toa Payoh", but that displayed on the right is "Jurong East Int", why did they put the word "Int" anyway...so weird..it's so redundant...to indicate the service is heading towards Jurong East Interchange???, how about Toa Payoh???
