Then who monitors UEC Ter now?Originally posted by tranquilice:Then VJC should has moved to Geylang Bahru, not VS moved to Marine Parade.
BNDEP used to control services terminating at Marine Parade terminal. Service 16 was controlled by BNDEP and ARBP in the past, which explained the Scania CRBs and MK4 Striders, not sure about DM3500s.
I dunno about route group, but service 13 is solely controlled by AMDEP.Originally posted by iveco:Then who monitors UEC Ter now?
I think Svcs 9 & 35 should start from EUN, if SBST wants to ease overcrowding @ BDK.Originally posted by service_238:why dont i twist the question say why is Eunos Interchange underutilised? can let some Bedok services terminate as its currently so jam-packed?![]()
Service 9 may as well return to Lor 1 Geylang terminal.Originally posted by iveco:I think Svcs 9 & 35 should start from EUN, if SBST wants to ease overcrowding @ BDK.
I remember there were striders and CRBs on the service.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:BTW, when 16 was plying between Bukit Merah & Marine parade terminal, it was solely under BNDEP with full fleet of MK4 DMs. After the amendment, 16 was transfered to full ARBP. It's ex MK4 DM fleet scattered. Some stay in BNDEP while some went over to HGDEP.
The route is short but it is only long in its stages.Originally posted by musli_bar:svc 16 can actually terminate by the roadside at siglap link - like it always dosvc 16 is very long
I don't know. Maybe because its main route group is in the east or ARBP is crowded before the handover of BB & CCK?Originally posted by tranquilice:I remember there were striders and CRBs on the service. And why wasn't it also controlled by ARBP during the Bt Merah - Marine Parade days?
can take up to 3h roundtrip...not very short.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:The route is short but it is only long in its stages.![]()
Ok, ok, I understand.Originally posted by leeJZ:can take up to 3h roundtrip...not very short.
Then how do you explain the Striders on Svc 16 in the past? I can also rememebr the occasional Mk III.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:BTW, when 16 was plying between Bukit Merah & Marine parade terminal, it was solely under BNDEP with full fleet of MK4 DMs. After the amendment, 16 was transfered to full ARBP. Meaning some ARBP services were transferred to their main depot after 1999?Originally posted by sbs&tibs:I don't know. Maybe because its main route group is in the east or ARBP is crowded before the handover of BB & CCK?
No need for that. Just have a similar depot control arrangement like Svc 63 can liao.Originally posted by musli_bar:svc 16 can actually terminate by the roadside at siglap link - like it always dosvc 16 is very long
What about Svc 63? How long does it take to complete a journey from Eunos to Rumah Tinggi and back again?Originally posted by leeJZ:can take up to 3h roundtrip...not very short.
just under 3 hours. but drivers get 5 min break at rumah tinggi, unlike s16 at marine paradeOriginally posted by iveco:What about Svc 63? How long does it take to complete a journey from Eunos to Rumah Tinggi and back again?
yes, they do...bus drivers going to siglap road sometimes have rest stops at siglap linkOriginally posted by service_238:just under 3 hours. but drivers get 5 min break at rumah tinggi, unlike s16 at marine parade
Striders were on sv16, some of them now belong to East side svcs eg SBS1896B sv518 SBS1902S-sv15, SBS2710Y-sv36,Originally posted by iveco:Then how do you explain the Striders on Svc 16 in the past? I can also rememebr the occasional Mk III.
Some corrections here. SBS 2710 Y is a Volvo B10M MK4 DM3500.Originally posted by Acx1688:Striders were on sv16, some of them now belong to East side svcs eg SBS1896B sv518 SBS1902S-sv15, SBS2710Y-sv36,
What's the route like? Wouldn't it duplicates service 94 between Eunos and PLAB?Originally posted by kenny_cai:Suggestion: Maybe Service 93 could call at Upper East Coast Terminal in the future, after the Circle Line is completely operational. It can then operate from Upp East Coast Terminal to Paya Lebar Airport as a loop service (I remember 93 used to loop here before being extended to Eunos.)
Let service 196 stays at Bedok.Originally posted by payne:Service 16, 55 and 196 can actually end at the terminal.
