Then take sv62 to Upp Paya Lebar Rd to tfr sv76. Please note tt there has to be a dd for SBST to introduce a DIRECT link to Parkway. If not, it will not be introduced. Anyway if sv55 is taken, u can alight at Still Rd South bus-stop, 7 mins walk u will reach Parkway, njoy e cool breeze...Originally posted by kenny_cai:Service 55 does NOT call at Parkway Parade. And if you say SMRT's 966, don't bother: because that'll involve 2 transfers, which is not good.

Another suggestion is to extend Svc 56 from Marina Centre to clementi. The extended route from Marina Centre to Clementi is as follows:
Marina Centre - AVE (Jurong) - AVE(Clementi Rd) exit - Clementi Rd - Clementi Ave 2 - Clementi Ave 5 - Clementi Int

There's a hint of sv74,sv165 and a mixture of sv62,136 here. BTW the reason there's no link to BNL vis Boon Lay Way coz there's NOT ENOUGH passengers to support any new route. There are links from SKG, HGN to west, sv74,156,165Originally posted by my@jas:How about this route?
Svc 85: Punggol to Boon Lay
Direction 1 via: Punggol Interchange, (Punggol Place), Punggol Central, (Sengkang Flyover), Sengkang East Road, Sengkang East Way, Compassvale Road, Sengkang East Ave, Punggol Road, Hougang Ave 10, Hougang Ave 4, Hougang Ave 9, Yio Chu Kang Road, Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, Ang Mo Kio Ave 8, Bishan Road, Bishan St 21, (Marymount Lane), Upp Thomson Road, Lornie Road, Adam Road, (PIE), Eng Neo Avenue, Bukit Timah Road, Upper Bukit Timah Road, Clementi Road, Clementi Ave 2, Commonwealth Ave West, Boon Lay Way, (Jurong West Central 3), Boon Lay Interchange
Direction2 via: Boon Lay Interchange, (Jurong West Central 3), Boon Lay Way, Commonwealth Ave West, Clementi Ave 2, Clementi Road, Dunearn Road, Eng Neo Ave, (PIE), Adam Road, Lornie Road, Upper Thomson Road, (Marymount Lane), Bishan St 21, Bishan Road, Ang Mo Kio Ave 8, Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, Yio Chu Kang Road, Hougang Ave 9, Hougang Ave 4, Hougang Ave 10, Punggol Road, Sengkang East Ave, Compassvale Road, Sengkang East Way, Sengkang East Road, (Sengkang Flyover), Punggol Central, (Punggol Place), Punggol Interchange
The advantages of this route are:
1. It provides a faster route for punggol residents to get to sengkang.
2. It provides a faster link for Punggol, Sengkang and Hougang residents to get to Ang Mo Kio and to the western part of Singapore.
3. It provides a quick link from Clementi and Jurong East to Boon Lay using Boon Lay Way (few passengers compared to Jurong East/West Ave 1).
I quite like this route because firstly, in the punggol and sengkang area, there is no buses that go to the south western part of Singapore like Clementi or Jurong East and Boon Lay except for service 156 which plies from Sengkang to Clementi. With this new service, I can take this bus directly to Boon Lay without having to take a bus to AMK and take MRT to Boon Lay. However, I think the route can be enhanced by making some parts of the whole route express so that the journey from Punggol to Boon Lay can be shortened.Originally posted by my@jas:How about this route?

I know abt those alternatives. The purpose is to serve resident living at Clementi Ave 4,5. btw the waiting time to transfer Svc 284,Svc282 to int/MRt or walking to MRT also take at least 10 mins why not direct link from these places. CT 18 or 28 from Cle is an example.Originally posted by Acx1688:u mean AYE ritebtw there exists 3 links to Clementi From MArina Centre.
i.Walk to City Hall to take MRT
ii.TAke sv97 and alight at Clementi [aft West Coast RC] croxx the bridge walk 7mins to central ot
iii. take sv106
Svc 106?A longer journey than all the propose route. I woud rather take MRT if I am from Clementi Central. MRT only bring you to City Hall. From City Hall, ifu walk faster than Carl Lewis, you can reach Marina Centre within 10sec!Originally posted by Acx1688:iii. take sv106
