  What cameo spottings were you referring to? And those people posting bus plate numbers/ service numbers and locations based on what? Random buses they spotted? Or particular model? Or what?

  Well, cameo means that the bus is not part of the fleet that normally does the service, but helps to do the shift for "part-time"
  
  these buses are usually split shift buses or buses which are in depot.

  Very easy, there are 2 ways.
  
  1. You are very farmiliar with some svcs, and next morning, you see a strange bus that disappears aft 1 day.
  2. You are unfamiliar with the svc, but you see a bus that ought to be in a svc you are familiar with. And it disappears again.

  you must also be familiar with the perm bus list and be able to spot that a bus is not "supposed" to be on that service straight away.

  You shld not thank me. Actually there are 2 other ways that are even easier.
  
  1. The bus driver very lazy, leaves the destination sign of the perm svc lying around. Or, he leaves the original guides in the rack.
  2. The 2nd way is to look at tamago's cameo reports!
