Now, even the SBS ones are spoilt!
Yesterday took 198 form queensway.SBS 1943 in the afternoon.
My god... 1 hour in suana. DUn noe whether to thank them anot? Sigh.. Give ME WINDOWS IF YOU CANT FIX THE AIRCON LEH!!!!
Is it becoz of the weather? Shacks.
Yup, i agree they tend to use the older buses for the non-city route. All these buses sure have smell and dirt. They dun clean the window ledges. If u guy notice, the places between seats are always filled with dirt becoz the passengers dun put their forearms there to wipe away the dirt!! HAhaha...
This is digusting. I have actually began taking photos of these dirty buses. Someday, im going to post it all up for everyone to see!!

SBS1943Z is a Strider, quite new though... Previously, i took a sv10 & it's aircon was not working, told BC abt it, he said he has to complete the journey as passengers refuse to alight, i think SBS1943Z cannot go bac to depot coz no1 wants to alight & all passengers are able to bear it. This is the complaint i made to them and get the response is quite fast. Immediately the next day, i get the reply.
Hope that they mean what they said! And say what they mean!

We regret to inform you that we do not refund passengers of their fare due to air-conditioning. However, we do sincerely apologise that you did not have a comfortable ride on our buses because of the air-conditioning. We would be scheduling the buses mentioned for a check immediately and rectify it when necessary. Meanwhile, we would also be reminding our Service Captains to ensure that the air-conditioning system is working properly and that they are to report to workshop for rectification should it malfunction.
We would like to take this opportunity to share with you that our buses undergo a preventative maintenance check once every 7 weeks. We will be stepping up efforts to monitor the situation.

Ref: Spoilt Air con buses on Svc 190
I was really disatisfied by the buses that your company run on this bus
services 190.
On 2 seperate occassions, I happened to encounter 2 incidents that the
aircon is not functioning properly.
They are 881G, from Hill street (1540hrs) towards Choa Chu Kang on
21/02/2005 &
1034D from Bt panjang(0810rs) towards New Bridge Road on 23/02/2005.
Both these services are fresh start journey, I am really curious why the
despatcher at the terminal allowed the buses to continue the services
despite the spoilt aircon?
If these aircon were spoilt half way during the journey, i can understand
it. But they aren't here.
What measures are taken to ensure such incidents will not occur again? Do
customers entitle for refund for such sub optimal bus services provided by
your company?

heard tat the CEO of SMRT, Saw Phaik hwa, has no intention to apply for fare hike this year!
If she did, then really must throw her with these nonsense services provided by her company!
Let's hope that SMRT is a socially responsible corporate Citizen. -

This leads me wondering whether there shoulld be more non aircon buses since everyone is complaining over the faulty air conditioning being spoilt. Without the air conditioning systems, one can feel the heat, can smell the stench of sweat. With more non aircon buses, there are more ventilation in the buses.

Relatively new compared to CRBs, MKIIs,MKIIIs,0405s[Duple Metsec & Walter Alexander] but older if u compare w the CNG buses, SBS1688K, SBS2888M and DM3500s . btw i m talkin abt SDsOriginally posted by SBS3624G:Striders are not exactly new. -
