CSS608 is the last bus still run by SSB. bsides connectin to Bukit Merah, it provides a one stop svc[as mentioned earlier on]. i ve direct sv from Marine Parade to Bukit Merah, juz nd to retain CSS608 tts all. Also note tt the above mentioned links to Bukit Merah does not coincide totally w CSS608. Quote me: can u from Maxwell mkt get to Marine Parade/Bedok without walkin more than 100m? only CSS608 can do tt! 
hw abt this : Havelock Rd to Bedok South Ave 1? only CSS608!

Svc 603 provided direct links from Chancery Lane to Orchard/Chinatown, but it was plugged. Same story with 607, the last remaining service that linked Moulmein Rd with Bencoolen St and 605, which provided a faster connection between Bt Merah and Bt Purmei.

Did BNDEP really control Svc 16 during BMR-CGA days? I understand that airport services are some sort of "loop" services in that they don't terminate at CGA (except for 36). 24, 27 & 53 are under full control of AMDEP (24 & 53) and HGDEP (27) respectively. Then how do we explain the appearance of perm CRBs on Svc 16 after the culling of 390 and before 36 came into being?

Before that it terminated at Marine Parade, so service 16 was both ARBP and BNDEP controlled. Then when the service was extended to Changi Airport, the depot controls remained unchanged until Sep 2001 when Marine Parade terminal closed, then the service became full ARBP controlled. -
I still missed the time when Service 16 operates to Changi Airport. I think it was the time Service 36 got amended that caused the service (16) to terminate at Marine Parade Terminal. Later, when the terminal was closed, it was made to loop at Siglap Road.
