We seem to have lots of Scania fans around. And one of them said he'd like SMRT to buy wheelchair-accessible CNG-powered L94UBs. Enough people to start a crapbox. Can boost ratings in this forum.

My estate got CRB on Svc 33. That's the best thing that has happened.

It's CNG, not LPG. Besides, new technology allows diesel engines to be equally environmentally-friendly, if not better. Operating CNG buses in Singapore could mean higher fares. I'd rather they use Euro-4 diesel buses if higher fares were to be implemented due to higher operating costs of CNG buses.Originally posted by TIB1133B:Oh yes they do. note that the L94UB was not given the green light for more purchases due to the fact that it costs more to maintain this bus as there are no local dealers for Scania spares.
hope things do turn better regarding the Scania parts issue. -
Melbourne should have parts to sell. Scania are horrible buses in my opinion especially the OAC . The sooner they are out of the roads , the better. Tell me , what so darn good about them ? They seem to be well-liked but to me they are extremely overrated , the scums of the roads = 31L to 80U . Horrible and disgusting !
Yes, they can go fast , quiet but the air con is horrible, engine is shakey and braking is lousy . The poorly maintained ones makes a lot of noise. So don't blame BNdepot for the buses, they are craps.
As for svc 33's scanias , I hope they will replaced with new buses asap. Feel sorry for those who hates OAC.
However, the CAC scanias are acceptable, the aircon is good , shakey but not as bad as the OAC.
Anyone else is with me ? -
spotted a Scania CAC on svc 72 today at ~5pm; Hougang, travelling towards Tampines.

I remember taking 3641 on svc 352 in 1996. The journey from PSR St 21 to Int took less than 10 minutes. This guy can really speed.
