alantan> 970 has WLDEP striders. We seem to have lots of Scania fans around. And one of them said he'd like SMRT to buy wheelchair-accessible CNG-powered L94UBs. Enough people to start a crapbox. Can boost ratings in this forum.

Mk III stinks
west zone is full of them. rather, BBDEP areas
good thing DVR area has CRBs on 33. but BNDEP dunno how to maintain them
but we need low floor buses in CLE/DVR/BNV area
[6:51 pm]
da tridents should be taken off 64 & given to 147.

BLACK RAPPERS ROCK CRAPBOX
good thing DVR area has CRBs on 33. but BNDEP dunno how to maintain them >> Scanias rock. all classes of them
if only L94UBs were the one & only fuel cell bus. then da whole world would be "forced" to buy their products
Oh yes they do. The CRL Striders are good for that.Originally posted by 5454:the Scania buses can speed very well![]()
It's CNG, not LPG. Besides, new technology allows diesel engines to be equally environmentally-friendly, if not better. Operating CNG buses in Singapore could mean higher fares. I'd rather they use Euro-4 diesel buses if higher fares were to be implemented due to higher operating costs of CNG buses.Originally posted by TIB1133B:Oh yes they do. But then, spare a thought for the disabled. We need more L94UBs with ramps. Better if they are LPG ones. More environtmentally friendly. Diesel fumes cause cancer. If SBST doesn't want them, they should go over to SMRT.
Melbourne should have parts to sell. I saw Dysons's full fleet of L94UBs when I visited my cousin last month.Originally posted by ^tamago^:note that the L94UB was not given the green light for more purchases due to the fact that it costs more to maintain this bus as there are no local dealers for Scania spares.
hope things do turn better regarding the Scania parts issue.
Well..Actually the MRT station Above is At Bedok. Service 3 first started from there to NBR.Originally posted by supremebull:Regarding that picture of the old Renault bus in the photo gallery link posted above, which MRT station is in the background? Somewhere along the EWL?
They are ok lah... But the OAC are really horible... But they were the 1st batch of perm European aircon buses to arrive SG.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Scania are horrible buses in my opinion especially the OAC . The sooner they are out of the roads , the better. Tell me , what so darn good about them ? They seem to be well-liked but to me they are extremely overrated , the scums of the roads = 31L to 80U . Horrible and disgusting !
Yes, they can go fast , quiet but the air con is horrible, engine is shakey and braking is lousy . The poorly maintained ones makes a lot of noise. So don't blame BNdepot for the buses, they are craps.
As for svc 33's scanias , I hope they will replaced with new buses asap. Feel sorry for those who hates OAC.
However, the CAC scanias are acceptable, the aircon is good , shakey but not as bad as the OAC.
Anyone else is with me ?
umm...please tell us the rego.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:spotted a Scania CAC on svc 72 today at ~5pm; Hougang, travelling towards Tampines.
Maybe a SP bus or one from 157.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:spotted a Scania CAC on svc 72 today at ~5pm; Hougang, travelling towards Tampines.

sry...i dunno..because i managed to catch a glimpse as it zipped across the junction...but this bus is in the old SBS livery. but i believe its a cameo..Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:umm...please tell us the rego.
Not me. I still regard the N113 as a quality bus. Its just that age has caught up with them. If you had rode the N113 in 1990 you'll know how good this bus really is.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Scania are horrible buses in my opinion especially the OAC .
