Service 408

SBST is going to introduced the service 408. This service will ply between Harbourfront to Labrador Park.The service will start on 12 March 2005 at 9am.
The Service 408 is also called as PARKS408.Well this the first time SBSTintroduced good services unlike that SMRT. -
seems like a sunday only service

SBST has a lot of iniatiatives to introduce many new services.
Unlike SMRT, hardy introduce more than 2 new services in a year.
Who suffer? Western people in Singapore!

I think I also saw the board announcing this new service while travelling along Telok Blangah Rd on Svc 143 yesterday. I think it has the headline "SBS Transit brings you to the parks" or something like that.

i foresee a low-demand service though, just like 403 which operates from pasir ris to pasir ris park

what type of buses do you guys think will be put on 408

dennis dart will suffice, just like Svc 42 and 92
but due to shortage of such fleets, i think most prob would be Merc 0405 DM just like Svc 403 and 405 -
or a Merc 0405 DM CAC

Operation Details
Days: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays (eve of Public Holidays will most probably be included on the basis of Saturday schedule, but we'll have to confirm this)
Hours: 9am to 7pm
Headway: 30mins
Fare: Flat fare $1.00 by cash or ez-link card
* Concessionary travel and transfer rebates are applicable on this service. -
Frequency is at 30 mins...
Seems that Sv 92's Dart may be used. Which Car Park is it Looping at? -

By then, once the Circle Line is completed, Labrador Park will be linked with Circle Line with connections to Harbour Front and Buona Vista interchanges. There onwards, Sv 408 will no longer be useful to the commuters.

In my opinion, service 408 needs to stay as Alexandra station is at the main road. I recently saw a notice about this new service 408 going from Harbourfront to Labrador Park at Harbourfront Interchange. Does anyone know where to find the exact route of service 408? -

they use the 4-digit methods by singapore pool also?? -
coz 4xx svcs are for leisure buses tt operates at a higher frequency and weekend, special periods [xcept for sv403]. This is to differentiate from Normal svcs. 8 is for the bus svc to prosper and hopefully fill ridership.Originally posted by i_am_a_penis:a childish enquiry...
