Did SBS 190 ever start from BPJ when it was a new service? Was it extended to CCK when 179 (old) was axed?
Also, did 179 (old) originate from BBT only to be extended to CCK? Can anyone verify both queries? -

Service 190 used to ply Jln Anak Bt and Dunearn Rd before amended to ply PIE and Whitley Rd in 1992/1993.

I like Service 190 when CCK was still under SBST control. Articulated buses look nice, but can be a pain at times. Also, you're right. The frequency for Service 190 is very irregular.
And yes, I do agree that the Golden Mile area is under served. However, both SBST and SMRTB are too short-sighted. They think the Circle Line will solve that problem, but now we'll have to wait until 2009. Think about it. -

I don't think many will choose to walk from Republic Ave to Beach Rd and vice-versa.
