Nt a VEry GOod Choice.. It would Duplicate ALOT of Services Along the route.. No it will not duplicate as it can serve Haig Road as there is no bus service along that road. People living at Haig Road can go Stadium and Parkway easily.

To be honest, some parts of Haig Rd are quite cut off. At least the food centre is close to Geylang Rd bus stops and PYL MRT. Hope the CCL will have a station close by. -
Actually hope to have bus ply along haig road so that primary and secondary schools student can benefit. If you said the road is to narrow, how about joo chait road where service 16 and 33 can also ply along the road???

Haig Rd (between Dunman Rd and Mountbatten Rd) is mainly private residential area so demand isn't high. -

well some services may not be unprofitable but there have to be available to fulfil some social needs... like for e.g. certain new towns like Punggol have Svc 84 as a temporary measure as well as to fulfil certain social obligations. sv11 is meant to bring residents to National Stadium from Kallang MRT. if u din noe, there's CSS608 from Bedok Int[except they dun operate on Sun & PHs] In addition if u wan to get to Stadium from Bedok, there's MRT, sv14,sv31,sv196, u juz nd to walk! sv11 is not a waste of Manpower coz commuters still utilise it! if it's not profitable, sv11 would have been withdrawn long time ago!

I guess the svc 11 is better off operating as it is now. It is the only bus service that plies direct from Kallang MRT station into Kallang Park. The other bus services passing through are svc 16 and svc 608. For service 16, the nearest MRT station is City Hall while for svc 608 is either Bedok or Raffles Place. Service 20 withdrawal is not that bad because only St. George's Rd and St. Wilfred Rd have no more bus service. Service M3 was one of the worst, no more bus service in the Bedok private estate after it got withdrawn.Originally posted by payne:Maybe let us scrap this service 11 like service 20 -
If sv11 is so useless tt some of you guys recommended it be scrapped think again, SBST recently put up a notice to say that they are increasing the frequency of sv11 coz of Singapore Open at SIS for las Friday & Sunday! So sv11 is a niche svc serving a particular segment of the mkt...
