What do you hate about each bus type?

MB0405 dm OAC, wa: Rough transition in gears, noise level, not reliable aircon, lack of seats.
MB0405 CAC: Same except aircon
mkII: Rough rides.
mkIII: Slow pick-up, noisy when dragging gears, unreliable aircon.
mkIV dm, strider: Slow, difficult to control aircon outlet.
mkIV dm3500: Difficult to control aircon outlet.
VO2X: NAC
VO3X: Slow pick-up
LO3X: Unreliable aircon, sometimes stinky.
VSO: Noise level.
Trident: No data.
CRB: Rough rides.
No bus is perfect. I am just listing out some things that I do not like. -
I go with the DDs 1st
Former buses
LAs: The back seat at the lower level is like a cook house, very hot
Current buses
LO3x: Upstairs sometimes cold like freezing
, and jerking when reversing sometimes
VO2x: When start to move, bus kinda like no energy to move like that
VSO: Thanks to the 10lit capacity, it is quite noisy -
For the VO3x, its speed and acceleration is slowest among all the present DD (my opinion) and its air-con is unreliable. The upper deck can be a microwave oven and the lower deck can be freezing.

Hmmm, the VSO picks-up faster than the (in my opinion) under-powered VO3X. And top microwave oven? Pick-up Speed: 1.Trident ( This bus packs a powerful punch. Is probably faster than Strider)

let me talk some buses in HK~~
for KMB:
Leyland Olympian 11M AC:quite noisy,but some of them are quiet
Dennis Trident 12m:
for using M11-305E and Voith 863.3 gearbox:some of them hv low pickup(but using ZF bearbox is powerful),not much air-con,and the main problem is,the engine always shake 1-2 times when stopping..........
Dennis Dragon 11M:
noisy,since KMB and NWFB has changed some components of the exhaustion system of them,not enough power.........(especially the registration number HA-HC series)
Dennis Dragon 12M:
noisy,hv a "who who " sound......not enough power
VSO:extremely noisy.......for the radiation system behind Driver seat
very very low pickup,but after some of them has tuned,it has quite gd acceleration
for the steep roads,extremely slow,even running on yr foot is faster.......
but some of them are powerful,even can hv 40KM/h on some steep roads
VO(AC):jerking(for using Cummins engine and ZF gearbox)
for using D10A and ZF gearbox:some of them low pickup
VO non-ac 11M:jerking,since it use ZF gearbox........ -
Mk IV Strider travels the slowest, even other SBST buses can overtake them.

VO3x: bloody hell!! the upper deck feels like antarctica sumtimes!! once on SBS9518R i was so afraid of getting frostbite i was hugging my bag like a small child..
CRB (OAC): only CRB i hate..these make u feel like somewhere in the sahara..
O405: deafening accceleration and shaky gear shift..
MK III: i just hate them..they always make me late..hahaz

B57s: Screeching sound. Some Mk IV Striders seem to have similar problems.
LAs: Burning rubber smell in lower deck. Yuck.
LO3Xes: Diesel smell on lower deck. Nothing like this on VO3Xes.
Mk IIIs: Slow pick-up.
Tibs' early model Japanese buses: Hard to close window. SBS ones are sliding, very straightforward. -
Hehehe, you have not met the master drivers on 89. I am always early for sch, and not so early with others. These drivers do not push the mkIII, but rather, they keep accelerating, making the ride bearable, yet fast. Today took 648H, bus overtook 9034U and mkIV strider on TPE. So who says mkIIIs are slow? That day, I took 9689E to sch, I was excited by the acceleration and the high-speed when in 1st gear. Unfortunately, I was disappointed on TPE when I realized that the bus could not speed well, unlike the mkIIIs and VO3X. -
Many mkIV striders and dms roar and screech. It is deafening. Includes 2672Z, 2637B, 2638Z, 2604X, 1999M and many others. I note that when 2638Z was new to 161, it was quite, but I guessed 161 drivers damn hiong, for the bus began roaring a couple of months later. 1) scania oac ones cause they tend to vibrate wen not movin
2)Vo3X cause u dont know wat the aircons will surprise u samtimes like refrigrator while some like oven
3)VSO very noisy at the back ferst floor -

ELBO SCANIA CAC (SMRTB) : Poorly maintained interior and quite unsightly. I feel that these buses shouldn't be serving popular routes such as 187, 970.
DAF (SMRTB) : Nice exterior but not its interior
NISSAN DIESEL CAC (former CSS) (on SMRT Buses only): a downgrade??? -

Scania N113CRB OAC = horrible engine , braking and aircon .
In my opinion one of the worst buses in Singapore.
