If it is to happen wat bus will go there???Originally posted by 5454:how about having a Depot in jurong island itself so all the CNG buses can park there and refill there.![]()
LYBP is to take charge of PSR route group (& possible Svc 3). Imagine the gassies deployed on PSR services.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:Yeah, yeah, why do you keep mentioning about LYBP? BNDEP can expand their depot at the field next to them. WHat for go all the way to Loyang just for a parking space?
Where exactly in Loyang is LYBP proposed location?Originally posted by iveco:LYBP is to take charge of PSR route group (& possible Svc 3). The space in Loyang could come in the form of compensation when ARBP is taken back by Mindef.
You can find the location in this thread. The area is served by Svc 6 from PSR Int.Originally posted by tranquilice:Where exactly in Loyang is LYBP proposed location?
I know it's in Loyang industrial estate, but where exactly in the industrial estate will the depot be?Originally posted by iveco:You can find the location in this thread. The area is served by Svc 6 from PSR Int.
Some open space in Loyang Industrial Park, possibly close to a CNG facility.Originally posted by tranquilice:I know it's in Loyang industrial estate, but where exactly in the industrial estate will the depot be?![]()
u can continue dreaming about your LYBP la...Originally posted by iveco:High time for SBST to build LYBP. BNDEP is a bit cramped.
Take over BDK routes lah! See how cramp HGDEP will be.Originally posted by iveco:LYBP is to take charge of PSR route group (& possible Svc 3). Itz an obvious that SBST doesnt want them on the roads because of the High cost that they have to spend in order to maintain the CNG Buses..Originally posted by 5454:can i know what happened to the other CNG buses and when will this buses be out and What service will they be on![]()
Yes.From waht most of us know, some of it would probably be on 98,174 and 105.Any others i missed out please tell me.SBST does not want to operate them because of the High operating costs as mentioned above. However,it may change as Tamago said that SBST modified the buses to meet their expectations. So i guess they are still doing that.So don't lose hope yet.Originally posted by 5454:can i know what happened to the other CNG buses and when will this buses be out and What service will they be on![]()

I'm not sure....But from what i heard,SBST is not quite happy with the performace of those CNG peeps. So they modified 2989K to their expectations like what Tamago said.So if it proves to be sucessful,we may be seeing them on the road.Originally posted by iveco:
How to modify? Meaning 2990-2999 will come out for revenue service quite soon?
okies, to give u ppl more details.Originally posted by SBS9810X:I'm not sure....But from what i heard,SBST is not quite happy with the performace of those CNG peeps. So they modified 2989K to their expectations like what Tamago said.So if it proves to be sucessful,we may be seeing them on the road.
No promises though.
Sell them? Any ready buyers in the first place?Originally posted by ^tamago^:however, there is another source that says SBST may want to sell the 10 buses though i don't think the possibility of such a deal is high.
tat's why i think it's not going to be successful.Originally posted by iveco:Sell them? Any ready buyers in the first place?
is the O500 purchase confirmed?Originally posted by iveco:Will SBST do anything to the gas-powered O500s when they come? Or will those buses be put on the road without any tweaking?
so will that be the bus that will be replacing the mk2s?Originally posted by ^tamago^:not confirmed. it may even be diesel-powered O500LE that SBST is getting.
the mods to B10BLE-CNG is only to tweak it for better performance & fuel economy, so it will be limited to the B10BLE-CNG's.
Diesel-powered? They have to be at least Euro-3 compliant, don't they?Originally posted by ^tamago^:not confirmed. it may even be diesel-powered O500LE that SBST is getting.
of courseOriginally posted by iveco:Diesel-powered? They have to be at least Euro-3 compliant, don't they?
Yes (if the purchase is confirmed) but indirectly replacing them.Originally posted by ah_kwang:so will that be the bus that will be replacing the mk2s?
diesel-powered Euro IV engines are currently being developed. i can't confirm but a prototype Euro IV diesel engine seems to be out somewhere in UK.Originally posted by iveco:Diesel-powered? They have to be at least Euro-3 compliant, don't they?
