Stick closely to frequency and don't deviate from it. If the service guide says one bus every 15 minutes, I expect to wait no more than 10 to 20 minutes for this bus.
By the way, I noticed that service guides in Perth have bus timings. Do you guys back in Singapore think it is a good idea to have in our service guides?
I feel that bus timings may not be suitable in Singapore, as traffic conditions & & travel demand may vary greatly at different times.
In Melbourne, buses and trams have an average of 3-5 "Timing Points" for each journey. Drivers will have to stop at the Timing Point (a bus/tram-stop) if they are ahead of schedule. As their schedules are rather lax, its common for drivers to stop over at each timing point for a few minutes, hence they are able to achieve an accurate schedule. I'm sure passengers will complain if this is practiced in Spore.
