bus guides of various svcs hidden inside citibank racks; SMRT cabby tour guides are exposed on the open racks
nxt time onwards would spread in Tanjung Pagar KTM (2x the amount spreaded in BDK today) to benefit KTM train passengers and KTMRFC members -

People who spread STACKS of guides also. They transport the whole stack from north to south, from east to west. Sometimes I have to "help" them transport back to home int. A few pieces is fine, but not for a STACK. -
I seriously don't see the need to take so many bus guides at once, even if you are a collector of them.
If you want to collect them, fine, but don't take stacks of it. You are depriving the people who really need them for information. Not only that, but since money is spent on printing these guides, which are then provided free-of-charge, you are indirectly making the bus companies lose more money, and in turn, give them an excuse to raise fares.
You might not know it, but these bus guides can be useful to even the kind of people who don't seem to need them. For example, I once wanted to go to the Salvation Army thrift shop in Changi (not the one in Changi Village, but somewhere near) from Changi Village. I used the bus guide on board to find out the fare stage number of the stop I need to get off at (after enquiring with the bus captain), and I sat near the ez-link card readers to check on their fare stage numbers to make sure I get the right stop (which I did). If I didn't have the bus guide, I could have needed to constantly ask the bus captain how many stops is it to my destination (thus distracting him from driving), or to have to count the number of bus stops myself, which can be inaccurate at times depending on whether you count in the destination stop as "1 stop" or not. -
Actually why is there a need to take stacks of guides? Even if you are a guides collector , don't take stacks of it , Don't think of yourself , think of others who need it more than you. I understand some small kids likes to play with it , i even saw some of them using it as paper planes...
So pls , remember , if u want to collect them and keep it for some other bus fans , pls dun take stacks , try to learn not to do it , just take a maximum of 8 pieces will do. -

At here I strongly agree to Volvo Olympian's advices. He knows more about what happens to the guides in the end actually. Also, I find his suggestions more practical.
Nowadays I limit myself to max 5 pieces/svc (unless they are hard to get or there are special requests from anyone here or in other boards).
Better still, if any of you people here have bus fan friends in overseas, I would recommend you to export your excesses to overseas (especially when they request for Singapore guides). Maybe that would help relieve your excesses.
As for your excess stocks (if happen to have), try not to send them to karung gunis/recycling agencies. I would suggest you to keep them, and spread/sell/trade/export them when you have time. But, do spread guides smartly---bit by bit and hidden (better to hide in Citibank brouchures) if possible. Or, return them to original interchanges/terminals.
And really please stop taking excess stacks of guides anymore---having excess isn't good anyway (except when they are rare).

1. Please Be Considerate To Others BY NOT TAKING STACKS OF SVC GUIDES OF THE SAME SVC NO.. :wacko:
2. NOT ALL SVC GUIDES Are Available/Can Be Found On Buses/Ints/Ters.
3. FINISHING A SVC GUIDES Doesn't Mean The Green Man Will RESTOCK THE RACKS WITH NEW GUIDES. <_<
4. YOU CAN BE CAUGHT & BLACKLISTED If The Transit Security Officer caught/saw You Taking Stacks Of Svc Guides. -
