Got Blk 21? I thought there were only 16 blocks in this estate. Don't tell me Princess Elizabeth and Hillview estates were seperate. Aren't these 2 names referring to the same place?Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:According to the 1988 Street Directory, Princess Elizabeth Terminal was located along Princess Elizabeth Dr, between Blks 21 and 16. According to the 2003 Street Directory, the said location is next to the Red Cross Home for The Disabled.

The current Prince Edward is her youngest son, who is also Earl of Wessex. Pity we have broken ties with the monarchy, if not we could have a condo project named Countess Park (in honour of Countess Sophie, wife of Edward).
Before 1988, 193 went to Prince Edward Terminal. It's interesting that the desto would read Princess Elizabeth - Prince Edward. Royal service, sia! Question is, who were Princess Elizabeth and Prince Edward?
According to the 1992 guide, service 185 plied between Choa Chu Kang and Shenton Way, while service 193 did not exist.Originally posted by iveco:So I was right about 193. It's route is 75% of 185 before the rationalisation in January 1993. Was 185 introduced first or 193 withdrawn first?
Block 9 Hillview Ave was never built. According to my friend, it was included in the original plans but the ground was unstable. Block 9 could not be built and instead, a large carpark took its place.Originally posted by tranquilice:There used to have an estate called Princess Elizabeth Park, between Elizabeth Dr and current Hillview estate. There were 24 blocks of lower storeys (Blk 1 to 24) in this estate while the neighbouring Hillview estate has 16 blocks (1 to 8 and 10 to 17, where is block 9?). Princess Elizabeth Park estate was demolished in the 90s.

I don't know. Anyway, that is HDB's problem. My friend is merely a long-time resident there.Originally posted by tranquilice:Unstable? How come?
