There was a temporary junction at Tampines St 21-Tampines Ave 2 (at the end of Chongzheng Primary). That was where svc 18 made the u-turn. After Tampines was more developed, the svc was made to loop a Tampines St 22 and back to Bedok Interchange. When Tampines Int was finally ready, it den skipped looping at St 22 and carried on it present route now.Originally posted by service_238:Tampines St 21/22. near the Blk 201 area there as far as i know
Svc 84 does not count. It was a re-introduced service. Previously plying between Upper S'goon and World Trade Centre.Originally posted by kenny_cai:If new services could be added, then here are my thoughts:
Service 68 - Wasn't touched ever since its release.
Service 115 - Ditto. It's trial period was over too.
Service 181 - Ditto.
But if you REALLY want long-term services that haven't been touched, then here are my thoughts:
Service 18 - I don't recall it undergoing any changes, with the exception of converting the service to fully-aircon.
Service 34 - another withdrawn service which had no changes.
Service 35 - only change was the calling of bus stops during the renovation of Bedok Interchange
Service 37 - Not touched, except for the timetable.
Service 84 - from its release till its recent withdrawl, it never had any changes.
Service 87 - minor adjustments to the timetable, but that's all.
Service 970 - route diversions don't count, do they?
I don't remember much (my memory lane starts from 1994, for the record.)

Svc 100 was originally a SER-HBF route. It was merged with Svc 20 (BDK-GHM) in 1989 or 1990 and amended to its present route.Originally posted by bluezombie10:Svc 84 does not count. It was a re-introduced service. Previously plying between Upper S'goon and World Trade Centre.
I believe svc 69 did not go thru any changes since it was introduced.
How bout svc 100?
And Svc 88?
Sv 265 merged with Sv 266 to form today's Sv 265Originally posted by 105090:buses not changed for more than 10 to 20 years are more interesting..
if since 1990s, about 75 % of services were hardly affected.
service 88 wasnt changed.
265.. i think a few times, and more recently, extended to ind park 3 as Townlink 265.
feeder buses looks like the least affected among the types of bus services
More like service 269 replaces the route of service 266 between interchange and Ave 4.Originally posted by sbst275:Sv 265 merged with Sv 266 to form today's Sv 265
That one was later on.. Sv 269 was admended to the current rt later on...Originally posted by tranquilice:More like service 269 replaces the route of service 266 between interchange and Ave 4.

You know which part of Ave 4 I'm referring to? Service 269 replaced the route of service 266 from interchange up to the junction of Ave 4 and Ave 5.Originally posted by sbst275:That one was later on.. Sv 269 was admended to the current rt later on...
Service 403 used to operate from Pasir Ris Rd to loop along Pasir Ris Central (outside MRT station) in the earlier 90s when the rest of Pasir Ris Central was under construction.Originally posted by 105090:11
400 also.. since about 1995 or when marina south started commercial services
403 to pasir ris park
405.. to LCK Road.. also gets long service award
I'm not sure about that. My mom said that the slip road at Bedok Reservoir Road used to operate 2 directions, and Service 228 used to ply in the opposite direction (from Blk 609 to Blk 629). It was only after the slip road become 1 direction that Service 228 operates on its present route.Originally posted by TIB1133B:Svc 228 can also qualify as one that has not been touched for ages. The present route is more or less the same as it was 10 years ago.
True. I remembered that stretch used to be a 2-way road. However couldn't remember whether it was 228, 226 or 385 which took the opposite route...Originally posted by kenny_cai:I'm not sure about that. Ya, I know... Sv 266 returning rt was replaced by Sv 269... But I remembered that admendment was only made aft complains from passengers saying that Sv 265 dun serve the Ave 4 market or something like thatOriginally posted by tranquilice:You know which part of Ave 4 I'm referring to? But then St 61 passengers complained that with the amendment, it took a longer time for them to go to town centre.Originally posted by sbst275:Ya, I know... But services 76 and 268 don't go to AMK interchange.Originally posted by sbst275:Got Sv 138 along Ave 5 mah
Or those nearer to Ave 9 have Sv 76/ 268
Can get to the Town Ctr (I mean the one near McDonalds)Originally posted by tranquilice:But services 76 and 268 don't go to AMK interchange.
According to 1994 street directory, Bedok Reservoir Rd (branch) is one-way. Also, the route of 228 is still the same in the 1994 and 2004 TL guides.Originally posted by bluezombie10:True. I guess I have to disagree with you on that. The stretch of the road was actually a 2-way road, and I remembered that there were permanent bus stops on both sides of the road. Eventually the stops on the other side of the road got pulled down. The bus stop design was similar to the ones now present. The road was converted to one-way quite some time back, presumably before 1994. Still can remember as I take svc 65 to Tampines Int to school last time, and always pass by that stretch.Originally posted by iveco:According to 1994 street directory, Bedok Reservoir Rd (branch) is one-way.
