It's offical - SBS is applying for fare adjustment

IMO, SBST raising fare is understandable. In recent years, they have given us better service than SMRT. THey bought new buses to renew their fleet, introduced more initiatives such a Fast Forward services and more.
But for SMRT...i really think there is no excellent reason to support the hike. Their bus services deproved. No new buses are bought. No new services introduced. Buses not maintained well. Trains come at a too long frequency. They also built more new retail outlts which will bring them much more money. SMRT is a profit based money, not at all a customer based company

the got all the major mrt line compare to NEL.. which public transport mrt is taking up a big pie leh..

I think every one of us who use their buses recognise this factual statement.
No way they can compared with SBST buses, except that SMRT bus drivers driving are reasonable fast, as compared to SBST (who emphasise more on safety) -
WHAT! I don't think I can go anywhere anymore! Prices for everything is going up, but ONLY our salaries are going down! Are they trying to eat our money or what?
Off-topic: Anyone has info about Service 110? If you'd watched the news on Channel 5 yesterday (it's the news with the fare hike), I saw a short clip of an old DD bus, and on the plate displays "110" and it's destination "Serangoon". It was short, but I managed to remember it down quickly. -

And so far this yr, only SBS has introduced bus rts -
call them 'private transport', not 'public transport'

When the fare increase was approved in 2002, SBS promised "better" service and all air con fleet.
Now there are still non air con buses roaming around.
Long wait for buses are still existent. (Cos they have use the $$$ to employ more pple to do time study)
Buses along NE line is always FULL.
They did not fix up the EZ Link overcharging issues despite numerous complaint.
So, on what bases can they ask for a fare increase !!!!
Dun use the raising cost and GST as the standard model answer.
As what the rest of pple is going to realise, the only thing to raise is bus fare, taxi fare, MRT fare and MP salaries, the salary of the common people is alway LEAN. -

As a regular commutor , I am very disappointed with the fare adjustment but I guess it's unavoidable. For those that are having finanical problems will find it even tougher especially if they rely on public transport to get to their destination.
