Which trunk services needs upgrade of buses ?

Well let me see, my votes goes to svc 33 !! Get rid of those scania OACS (They are terrible buses ) at least replace them with CAC.
Service 24 and 53, they have been operating mercedes for a long time !
Service 143 : Need more volvo buses in it's fleet.
What do you guys think ? -
Yes.. sv 143 need to have more volvo DD, maybe they will use the new Volvo buses? SV143 have been using LO3x since it was introduced. Time to change for new buses.
Also, sv 145 should upgrade as well. Introduce some Volvo DM 3500 on Sv 145. -

Perhaps if SBS decides to truncate Svc 24 to terminate at Bedok or Eunos instead, we could see VOs or even VSOs operating on them, just like Svc 25....the route of Svc 24 from Paya Lebar to Changi Airport duplicates the MRT route
If Svc 53 terminates at Pasir Ris instead, we could also see double-deckered on them -
S24 will probably go CGA for a long time to come, loads are quite healthy.
S53 will never be shortened to Pasir Ris as it is the only link for PSR residents to the airport (and you cant extend S27 back again). -
I hope services 54
and 130 will opreate on other types of buses it has been using 0405 mercedes buses for so long now. Hope it uses some DDs.

I Think SBST should transfer some of the trident buses to other Depots too and not keep all of the tridents in HGDEP.

Because service 24 ply Upp Changi Rd East which is not served by the Changi MRT line. The route of Service is directly parallel to this route. We could say goodbye to Service 24 in 2007. -

Firstly, if you shorten svc 24 to Bedok Int, then what about the people from Paya Lebar to Tanah Merah who work at SATS flight kitchen or wanna go to the Airport Police Station and the many buildings surrounding it? Take the MRT to CGA then take a bus out? Not economical. I believe most of svc 24's loads come from this specific travel pattern. Please observe the loads and the travel pattern before making such statements.

and back to topic, Mk2s going this year, Scania N113s going next year and MB0405s going the year after that. So by 2007, I guess there will be major upgrades to most services' fleets then...?

upgrade frequency of buses is more essential so as to solve overcrowding problem. Quality of bus models is not important.
I'd rather sit and doze off comfortably zzzz on an old Scania OAC rather than standing, squeezing and jostling with passengers on an overcrowded Volvo Mk 4 -

I dont think i can given the vibrations that is about 5 on the richter scale -
man!! you all complain about scania..... and i always try to board it whenever i can.. honestly, its those mercedes O405 in sbs central districts that must be eliminated..
AMK services especially 25 needs upgrades, especially PM peak hours from bedok, i sees at least 3 overcrowded O405s...
in my opinion, volvos mk2, 3, 4 and scanias provide nice rides.. the drivers drive at a welcoming speed, not like the O405s drivers who drive slow slow.. funny pattern.. -

I think the single-deck buses for service 70 should be changed..
I'm not sure of the bus model used but it is the type where you have seats where the passengers face the aisle near the back of the bus. Thought the buses looked like they were once non-aircon buses, then subsequently had aircon added. These buses need more legroom as well as better air-conditioning.. -
