That is exactly what I feel as well.Originally posted by carbikebus:IF Sv 159 transfered to HGDEP IT Will be Sengkang-Toa Payoh(Loop),Is that weird?
Sv. 159 was an amdep-hgdep service for a period of time.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:Yes, I recall 1981M in the fleet. It was transfered from AMDEP to HGDEP as it was terminating at Sengkang Int. But when 163 was amended to Sengkang Int, 159 became a loop service (maybe Sengkang Int no space), 163 moved to HGDEP and 159 moved back to AMDEP.
I remember seeing Mercs and Striders on this service some time in 2002.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Sv. 159 was an amdep-hgdep service for a period of time.
Is it feasible to transfer majority control of service 143 to BRAM?Originally posted by SBS9818A:Sv. 143 only has 1 full day bus from bram, the remaining 4 are split shift. Not much point in putting VO3X on the service. If SBST wanted to impress HG and SK passengers, Sv. 88 would have gotten perm B10TLs ages ago.
Service 143 also has too many LOs in the fleet.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:Charles mentioned to transfer some of 88's VOs to 143, me thinks it isn't a wise move. I think the VOs can go to 22 or 72. Too many LOs in the fleet.
When the service was just introduced in Feb 1999, BNDEP deployed the NAC Scanias until May 1999 when the service was converted to FAC.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Sv. 88 was previously operated by both bram and bndep.
There are also other SBST services with non air con buses.Originally posted by meltz:bus no 125 .... still no air con ......... wat century liao
TIBS power.. their fleet now 100% aircon.. with hard seatsOriginally posted by tranquilice:There are also other SBST services with non air con buses. But these single deck non air con buses will be phase out soon and they will be replaced by air con buses.
yeah. SKG is small. 85, 501 and 502 had to park at the temp interchange. (they were going to be chopped). And 159 had to give up its "berthing rights" due to overcrowding. 83 followed suit after punggol int opened.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:The current Sengkang Int is quite small in fact. Before the NEL Network Rationalisation, with 85, 501, 502, etc, Sengkang is already very cramp. Giving up 159 and 27 from terminating at the interchange was a wise move.
If 159 isn't being transfered back to AMDEP, tell me, what is going to happen to the mercz? AMDEP gets more SPs? Transfer them out? HGDEP will then run into a shortage of B10M to accomodate one more service. And what's more, HGDEP isn't keen on keeping mercz inside, looking at the example of S'goon svcs mercz going back to AMDEP one by one.
Service 28 no longer goes to Bedok interchange.Originally posted by 105090:yeah. SKG is small. 85, 501 and 502 had to park at the temp interchange. (they were going to be chopped). And 159 had to give up its "berthing rights" due to overcrowding. 83 followed suit after punggol int opened.
Other examples: 17, 18, 28, 60 : Bedok is super crowded with 20+ svcs
73: Toa Payoh has very little berths for sawtooth-berth services.
Remember that the temp. Hougang Central Int, 74, 147, 501, 502 parked at the Old Int (present day HG Ctrl). only can board at hougang plaza
28 and 152 merged. This meant 2 services less at BDK Int. I remember 152 had an individual berth which was subsequently given to 26.Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 28 no longer goes to Bedok interchange.
I fogot in which year 9 and 26 switch berths. 9 used to pick pax up at the feeder area and 26 used to be at single berths. After the merge of 152, 26 went back to single berths to fill up ex-152 spacesOriginally posted by iveco:28 and 152 merged. This meant 2 services less at BDK Int. I think Svcs 9 & 35 can pick up pax at the MRT station, just as Svc 34 used to do in the past. If alighting at CLE Int for certain services is not permitted, I don't see why a reverse arrangement can be made in the case of 9 & 35.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:I fogot in which year 9 and 26 switch berths. 9 used to pick pax up at the feeder area and 26 used to be at single berths. used to stop at bedokOriginally posted by tranquilice:Service 28 no longer goes to Bedok interchange.
But later services 168 and 196 came in, and Express 506 went back there.Originally posted by iveco:28 and 152 merged. This meant 2 services less at BDK Int. I remember 152 had an individual berth which was subsequently given to 26.
Service 9 used to call at triple berth number 2 (current 18/196/854 berth). Service 26 called at the single berth (current service 9 berth) all the while before it shifted to the current berth (formerly used by service 152).Originally posted by sbs&tibs:I fogot in which year 9 and 26 switch berths. 9 used to pick pax up at the feeder area and 26 used to be at single berths. Service 35 can start picking up passengers at the MRT station but not service 9 as alot of passengers board at the interchange.Originally posted by iveco:I think Svcs 9 & 35 can pick up pax at the MRT station, just as Svc 34 used to do in the past. I think 97 should get some VO3X to "liven" up itself. I think SLBP will be geeting "2nd hand" VO3X from various depots.Originally posted by iveco:I think 97 needs a fleet upgrade. It should have a few DM3500s in addition to hte Mercs & LO3Xes.
Which is unlikely unless HGDEP gets some VSO from AMDEP or BNDEP.Originally posted by CAIX:Service 74 has A LOT of VO3x. Should introduce VSO to this service
SLBP will have to take in all the LO3X before starting to recieve VO3X, imoOriginally posted by sbs&tibs:I think 97 should get some VO3X to "liven" up itself. I think SLBP will be geeting "2nd hand" VO3X from various depots.
If 198 gets transferred to SLBP, quite a number of VO3Xes may also go over. The number of LO3Xes in BBDEP can be counted with our fingers, so 198 may have to bring part of its original fleet with it.Originally posted by leeJZ:SLBP will have to take in all the LO3X before starting to recieve VO3X, imo![]()
Is there any reason for 198 to go to SLBP, especially when BBDEP has a fair amount of space?Originally posted by iveco:If 198 gets transferred to SLBP, quite a number of VO3Xes may also go over.
