The first LO3x also made its debut on service 7.Originally posted by SBS9828X:Why does 2888t make debut on 7? any special reasons or just BNDEP?
no, unless the other 10 B10BLE-CNG's come out.Originally posted by iveco:Will the gas-poweredd B10BLEs ever leave 105 and make an appearance on other routes like 197, for instance?
actually they are not high-maintenance models, it's jus that their parts do not come readily in Singapore and it is more expensive to import. plus the months being out of service will also count towards non-return of the monies spent on pruchasing the bus.Originally posted by iveco:Has 2888 given much problems before since Scania spares are somewhat harder to find compared to Volvo ones? It seems that 1688 is more problematic than 2888, even though both buses are high-maintenance models.
Volgren "quality". This is a reason why I do not like Volgren bodies. Call me unpatriotic (you wouldn't be the only one to call me that), but it is true. And usually the export bodies are of the better quality (if built in-house, like 2888T and 1688K and 9810X and 9888Y, and the 2 gassies).Originally posted by hseochin:This bus using Scania L94 chassis with Volgren body ?
Don't know if anyone else noticed, when i last took rides on this 2888 months ago, the bodywork seems sagging down @ the centre of it's length !
I noted quite a big gap (min. 1 inch !) between window frame & bodywork panel @ the centre on the right side ! Never seen this before on any other bus or coach & it was somewhat vibrasive & making louder than 'normal' squeaking noises from there ! Notable too was the boat rocking sensation from left to right many times when stationary which i suspect due to suspension momentarily releasing too air on 1 bellow then followed by more air pumped in compensate & when overdone the vehicle rocks to the right etc. !
Any kneeling function on this unit ?? Whether or not if so, they need to do some maintenence work on the suspension !
Got bruise or not?Originally posted by Windy_hates_B10TLs:Volgren "quality". This is a reason why I do not like Volgren bodies. The suspension phenomena is the self-levelling mechanism. Usually mostly used wheen roads are undulating, but then, Scanias have been quite sensitive when it comes to self-leveling. The suspension has a kneeling mechanism, but I'm sure the driver's don't use it, or it has been disabled (like on all the B10M fleet). I remember driving an O.405NH and as it self-levels when stationary and only when I release my foot from the brake pedal (when the maxi-brake has been applied, of course), and this old lady smacked me telling me to stop playing with the bus!
