Well there be a merger of depots in the future ?

Like BNdepot and HGdepot and Bukit Batok and Ayer Rajah depot merged to become one depot?
What are the possibilities like ? -

BBDEP and ARBP are already a single entity. If you are talking about a merger of depots, I think many ARBP routes may come under BBDEP if and when the government takes back the ARBP land for military use.
So far, the only merger that took place was the closure of JRBP and JRDEP after the inauguration of SLBP as the new West District HQ. -

If this is what you mean, it will not be possible as it means longer journey time between the depot and interchanges/terminals. -
ARBP won't be taken back for military use. the whole area will be used for future One North developments, including that of Portsdown Camp, Ayer Rajah Camp, Subordinate Courts and the whole Portsdown area. the 2 camps mentioned (incorporating 3 TPT BN, GSMB, OETI, HQ MES) will be merged with the expanded Kranji Camp in 2007/2008 when their new buildings there is ready. the area will be demilitarised.Originally posted by iveco:BBDEP and ARBP are already a single entity. but it is quite confirmed that ARBP will be taken back by the government for industrial use. and anyway, i think SBST can cope even if ARBP is closed down right now since BBDEP is not really full. -

LYBP? What for? Just expand BNDEP since there is a plot of empty land directly next to it...but since there were plans to rebuild BNDEP as a multi-storey depot on that same piece of land...just wait and see.
