If you know , you are not the only one who is tall , and for that , we know that MK3 exit is low and of coz we have to mind our heads , i don't think u look up while exiting the buses ...Originally posted by TWS4793:If you are tall (especially me), you have be careful and mind your head when boarding and alighting. Agreed. Once I was on TIB754R (WL 966) when a BC helped someone carried a grocery trolley up the bus and did the same thing when the passenger alighted. Another time I was on TIB1222C (WL 900/901) when the BC actually helped an old woman cross the road. If you're 1.75m above you just be careful if alight at the MKIII rear door.Case of high floor busesOriginally posted by TWS4793:If you are tall (especially me), you have be careful and mind your head when boarding and alighting. They are the famous Foo Brothers. If I'm not wrong they are still on service 169.Originally posted by BusSpeeder:for the second one, not only sbst BCs are courteous, smrt BCs are courteous too. few years ago, i boarded a 169 and the BC greeted every single passenger in chinese. say good morning and hello and i believed his picture was shown in the linkway on the walls(escalators) between woodlands mrt to wri.
How tall are you ? I am very curious to know.Originally posted by TWS4793:If you are tall (especially me), you have be careful and mind your head when boarding and alighting. On which rego? Today take my favourite bus (TIB1049L) and was walking to the bus stop when the bus was zooming off. The BC saw me from far and stopped the bus for meOriginally posted by off_service:They are the famous Foo Brothers. If I'm not wrong they are still on service 169.
If I'm not wrong, Service 12 BCs are rude mainly because their schedule is packed with so little buses. Especially during Peak Hours. Some can't be blamed for their attitude, especially driving those B9TLs. Plus one trip to and fro takes about 1 hrs 20mins plus? Can't expect them to go about greeting everyone, good enough just for them to smile at you.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:How tall are you ? I am very curious to know.
Hard to find drivers that greets you , I encounter one on svc 12. Svc 12's drivers are notoriously known for their rudeness .
S12 one trip to and fro 1hr 20 mins? Are you damm sure,The BC skips bus stops?Or you're trying to tell its half trip,Eg PSR to NBR?Still its not an excuse to be rude mah.I don't expect much as a Passenger,The BC just drive safely and give a glance at me just enought,No need to greet nor smiles.Originally posted by SBS 9631X:If I'm not wrong, Service 12 BCs are rude mainly because their schedule is packed with so little buses. Service 17 has instead 2 perm friendly BCs; they would smile and greet you as you board and alight the bus. And I mean alighting as well. Wonder what happens during Peak Hours.
I rephrase my sentence: I meant the trip for either one way only.Originally posted by carbikebus:S12 one trip to and fro 1hr 20 mins? Are you damm sure,The BC skips bus stops?Or you're trying to tell its half trip,Eg PSR to NBR?Still its not an excuse to be rude mah.I don't expect much as a Passenger,The BC just drive safely and give a glance at me just enought,No need to greet nor smiles.
Last time one of the brothers was perm 799L. Another one was a bendy. If I'm not wrong now the elder Foo brother is a spare driver of sorts. I've seen him on services like 961 and 962.Originally posted by TIB1049L:On which rego? Today take my favourite bus (TIB1049L) and was walking to the bus stop when the bus was zooming off. well i think they are. i only know that they are 2 person. today i take TIB 1041H which is WLDEP SP on 169 going towards woodlands. i saw him and i smiled because i know. he was saying ni hao to everyone. they're from china i think. this should be the elder one? he drive very steadily, unlike other person who will brake so fast, this one is steady. steadily going fast and when its stopping, it will stop slowly. the brothers are very courteous de, even waits for people who are running towards the bus unlike some others who will speed off.Originally posted by off_service:They are the famous Foo Brothers. yes one of them drives on a 799L last time. think forget a bit.Originally posted by off_service:Last time one of the brothers was perm 799L. Another one was a bendy. If I'm not wrong now the elder Foo brother is a spare driver of sorts. I've seen him on services like 961 and 962.
try standing from tampines int to yishun sports hall when you know that no one will board or alight from the bus ?Originally posted by TWS4793:Normally the practice is not to stand on the steps but how about sitting on the steps then?
Yesterday I saw two passengers sitting on the steps of the bus while they were on TIB 0748J on Service 969.
I see nothing wrong in sitting at the steps provided you dont lean againts the door. Some pax would sat on the ex-validator place on VOs & MBs too.As for me if a girl asked me if she can sit on my lap i would definately say yes also..Originally posted by TWS4793:Normally the practice is not to stand on the steps but how about sitting on the steps then?
