today i took svc 67 (TIB 599Y). an old man was alighting at a bus stop at geylang when the bus exit door closed on him, trapping his leg. the bus driver and a few passengers help the old man free his leg. i could hear some passengers discussing about the incident. some blamed the driver for failing to check the mirror to see the old man has alighted or not. this incident cause a few mins delay.

why cannot just open the doors again and free him?

I've seen a mistake displayed in the display thingy that hangs from the ceiling of a 0405 Hispano Sv67(Tuesday)
It's supposed to display the next stop when you are about to arrive there...but when I was in CCK i realised it displayed "Hume Pk Condo", then when it reached the Interchange it displayed "Opp Dairy Farm Rd", which was where I boarded the bus... -
Well, seeing the list of unusual happenings here, I'm inclined to post a few of my own. By the way, I have been hanging around here for sometime before I joined, so I do know some more "inside" details in this forum, more or less.
Seeing the incidents about odd people on buses on the first few pages made me want to write a few of my own. The first incident happened on SBS1688K on route Express 518 (back when it was still a perm. bus on that route), travelling in the direction from the city to Pasir Ris. I'm not quite sure where this person boarded the bus, but he was a rather odd man who wore a lot of weird things on himself if I remember correctly. He talked about a lot of philosophical things, including retribution and such. I can't remember much, but I do remember thinking about how meaningful his impromptu "speech" was. He alighted at either Bedok or Tampines (I'm not too sure). Later, a female passenger asked the BC whether that man was crazy, and the BC said something about that person frequently "visiting" different buses, either to give his "speech" or to sing a few songs.
More recently, on bus 76 (a MB O405, not sure of the registration), while travelling from Yio Chu Kang to Parkway Parade, when this person boarded somewhere halfway through my journey. Before taking his seat (right at the front of the bus, just behind the driver's seat), he could blow his whistle loudly, once, which startled probably everyone (including me). The BC, however, took it as nothing happened. He stayed on the bus and did nothing else until he alighted (somewhere around Upper Paya Lebar, I believe); he blew his whistle again while exiting from the rear door, which again slightly startled me.
p.s. Yes, I'm a Singaporean - I'm just more inclined to type properly without Singlish... -
btw to me M-B O405G/ Hispano Habit seems better and newer than the O405/ Hispano Carocera....the latter have the distintive sound when upshifting...but the first is quiet even when gear shifting..like a conti car

then sv 67 displayed the day as Monday, date as 1st January 2000, and time as 7.55 when it was 5+ only...
Then I took 67 again and the display for the current destination skipped by 3 stops every 1 single stop, so by the time I reached Upp. Bt Timah it showed "Newton Food Court"
they must correct these problems otherwise might confuse others...unreliable information... -

hmm.. a BC was commenting that he got a regular mad customer who always boards his bus every time, and he got to scold this mad customer for some reason

this morning, another display problem. 961 in the direction of Woodlands. FOr the whole trip, the overhead display was showing "Lor 1 Geylang Ter"

Actually I'm very stupid that time.
I took route 9 to have a bus ride,
(I'm going ti Airline Rd).
When I arr the gate , the police get on the bus,
and ask me for the pass.
But I don't have any pass,
so I need to get off the bus.
IT IS RAINING!HEAVY RAIN!
I'm very angry for that.
Why the police don't let me go into there?
