Passengers are not allowed to eat on the buses, there are such signs inside the buses telling them not to eat. But the problem is that this isn't strictly enforced. Today, I saw a student ( in uniform ) with food in his hand when boarding the bus. Guess what, he was even eating on his way up! No the bus captain did not bother.... Well at least, he took along his wrapper and discard it when he alight. The point is, I don't think the Captain bother about it.. Perhaps there are just too many people doing it and he may be tired of it, then perhaps, he couldn't care.. Yes, i agree with ur say, everyone have the responsible to keep our places clean including when we are boarding the bus. That remind me that i was sitting with a boy prob in his teens. I gave him 2 hard stare when he was eating his old chang kee currypuff & then drinking his softdrink, however, i dun think he feel anything, regardless guilty or embaressed. Well, eating & drinking is bad, however it is much to see pple like him would to leave their wrappers or plastic bags on the bus & expect someone or the bus driver to pick or clean for them. That greatly reflect their selfishness & inconsideration to others, actoin shld be taken against them, b-4 our green city is damaged by them.

this reminds me of my only encounter of a roach on bus in 1986
i took some albion viking on s189. got one huge cockroach in bus. scared the hell out of my cousin...

no these days i dun see roaches in bus. i think buses well clean and kept clean by both cos.
except for the worm incident on some 225G scania in 2004. but worm is not roach lol

I dun agree that all the buses are kept clean, but maybe most or many of the bus still in acceptable condition. There are still some buses that are marked with poor standards. Esp, i notice that the boths sides of the tibs bus, near inner seats, rubbish is easy trapped & accumulated, if the bus drivers do not clear them, it will just ensuring the reproduction of the cockroaches.Originally posted by ZYX2005:this reminds me of my only encounter of a roach on bus in 1986

Ever since I embrace Buddhism, I haven't kill any including lizards. Can you imagine a lizard run across the living hall and my daughter scream while I just let it pass.... I see no reason to kill. But today, I killed a little siew keong. My cupboard give way and I was repairing it and this little fellow crawl out, I wanted to shoo it away and guess I was too hard on the poor fellow. It became somehow a roti prata.
Well, so if I see a cockroache on the bus, guess I will let it pass. I probably will blame the people who eat in the bus and invite these creature to hitch a ride with us... So for Pete sake, stop eating and littering in the bus !!! -
