Suggestions to improve Singapore bus transport

1. For single DD bus services that cannot handle DD services like 36 or 518 as eg . I really hope SBST consider operating 2 SD buses at one time to ease the load. 518's frequency is horrible and if you cant board the first bus because it's full , you have to wait for another 25 mins for the next one and that is even worse if that is the last bus. Something have to be done ....
2. For DD bus services, high load services like svc 7 , 12 or 65. During peak hours , please swop the timing of the SD and DD buses ... for example at 1800 , the SD bus is leaving Clementi for Bedok (bus 7 ) , the bus always get overcrowded and as a result , many passengers were left stranded at their respective bus stops , please swop that bus for a DD bus so that the most busiest period of time , the DD buses can fetch more passengers. This is a very common problem which SBST fails miserably.
3. Frequency of bus services is getting worse , as a regular Singapore bus services transit traveller , I find that waiting time for services are getting longer perhaps due to the jam or other reasons. I feel that SBST should send some spare buses to ease the load, for example bus 7 , the spare bus can start from orchard ... instead of clementi .
If you guys have any ideas, please post here. You never know any representive from the following bus companies are following this forum. -

i suggest service 111 should be extented to ply serangoon road than go and loop at Suntec City/ Marina Centre as these will ease the load of service 65 which is the only service from ORCHARD RD to serangoon rd.

use in bus LED screen to show next destination instead of SINGAPORE....
use less habits on feeders like 300 302 or 911 and dump some bendies on 700 and 171.
buy citaros to boost freq of many TIBS bus services
change back uniform of drivers back to sunny and cheery shirts. change liv of bus back to yellow and orange for sunny and good feeling.

buy more L94UBs L94UAs MANs merc OC500LEs dennis tridents (plaxton) DAF Db250LFs, dennis SLF darts, dennis SLF lances, optare tempos to boost bus fleet and freqs
put more dds on 135 73 76 and 22 to relieve squeezig
use scania l94UAs on 24 53 and 36 to stop the squeezing
install in bus LED to show enxt destination
instill better service attitudes in drivers who zip by bus stops without stopping for ppl who flag bus down
stop refurbing buses and put money to better use
scarp GPS program idea as it is cost wasting.
instead concentrate on improving other services like better freq and better faster driving - heck timesheet when early ideal must be instill. no more demerit pts for arriving early. or else revise timesheets to make sure buses up to std with TIBS timesheets. ie cut times for buses like 112, 93, 131, 97 etc....
scrap service 502 and replace it with service 194 ( trunks ervice)
withdraw 194 as it is ridiculous when 251 is already op. convert 251 to partial air-con and intorduce a 251A for jurong bird park
stop operations of citybuzz immediately. withdraw Ct28 immediately as these are loss generating services
introduce fast forward 170e to johor.
stop the silly idea of having buses go off service at int not even near the depot
eg say a s174 bus goes off service at NBR ter. drives ALL THE WAY back to soon lee. when the bus cd be better used for just one more trip back to boon lay generating more revenue instead of wasting fuel.
or a BBDEP service 14 bus stops trips at bedok int and drives all the way back to BBDEP. ditto for SBS9889U. shd start and end at clementi instead of HG.
wash buses more often . cockroaches are a problem lately.
improve freqs on 170 by having standby buses parked right at the exit of the chkpt so that when jam oocurs spare buses cna be deployed very easily
reduce freq breakdowns by buying newer buses. reduce laspe in service when breakdowns occur by having spare buses ready at ints in the event of breakdowns.
use service by demand attitude in operations for buses like 405 403 401 and 408. send a extra bus out if queue grows very long altho next bus is like in 20 mins....

better freqs on east west north south lines. very very bad packing of pax into trains lately.
private bus operators-
operate scheme B bus like its ur life. dun go missing on many days and no bus operates.
don't run too early on ur routes as some pax know u r on perm timing and will wait for ur shceme B bus
aways make sure ur destos are clear . i can hardly read some on 646.

Yes it is really dumb for services controlled by 2 depots to "cross buses".
IE in the morning peak on the PIE, I always see 9270D (BB 196) on PIE eastbound, presumably going to Bedok. Then I see 9261E (BN 196) on PIE westbound, presumably going to Clementi...might as well make 9261 start at Bedok and 9270 at Clementi. -

Previously there are some pax complaint to SBST HQ about why Sv100 always arrived 2 buses together.Frankly i tell you,The more improvement the more complains will come

the frequency of most bus services had gone worst, especially at the after 1900 band notably:
86: at 1999: 9 to 12 mins now: 15 to 18 mins (fm amk)
87: now: 15 to 18 mins
151: at 1999: 12 to 13 mins, now 15 to 20 mins
now, many services frequencies are hitting 18 to 20 mins from 13 mins in 1999 -
But Orchard Rd bus svs on Sat and Sun, more high cap buses should be used to encourage ppl to take bus instead of driving...
More revenue for them as well -
About the EZ link part, it was said SGD 300 million was invested. With the farecards, bus companies losed out to SGD 10 million annually. with the EZ link, it may need at least 30 years to break even, and with the high overheads and pre-trials, commuters had got something they had not bargained for.. i believed the rise in afres was partly caused by EZ link, VLS, GPS, and some "special " features of buses like the opened doors locked the bus speed to 5 km/h

Schedule the bus on time.
Cut the "fat" at the top management.
Make Ezlink Card claim simple and not to ask the commuter to go around the world like a fool.
The executives are employed to make value-added improvement to the company.
If the forumers have to write in a forum to improve the system, the executive should be sacked. -

LED??? It cost $3000, while a plastic desto cost $30 and extras can be made
Sv 170 spare buses? Jam, buses cannot u turn anymore
Sv 400, 401 long queue??? Tell me the loading, maybe abt 50 ppl onboard with frequency at 20-30 mins.. There are other svs loading that are better -
