I don't think he means bendies as there are no bendies on service 307.Originally posted by 105090:if you mean bendies, is because they uses back EDS, and not plastic ones.

SBST also do not need to create new signs due to any route changes in future, hence saving trouble and costs.Originally posted by samtlk:So that the numbers can be seen easily even from a distance. SBST is implying that you should flag the bus earlier instead of waiting until the last min![]()

Engine is the same. THD102KF. Striders are also on this engine. Due to this, I sometimes find the B10M-70 underpowered and struggling when there's a heavy load.Originally posted by SBS1908B:Is there any diff between 997A and 964C? How come use same engine? How about 998?Originally posted by ^tamago^:Engine is the same. THD102KF. Striders are also on this engine. Due to this, I sometimes find the B10M-70 underpowered and struggling when there's a heavy load.
Gearbox is different. Our B10M-60 Mk IV DM (for those on ZF) uses ZF 4HP500; the Superlong bus B10M-70 Mk IV DM uses ZF 4HP590. the only other bus in SBST tat uses ZF 4HP590 is the Scania L94UB.
And indeed, the extra axle at the back is a free-wheeling axle and does nothing more than providing additional weight support.
Saw this... In SBS Transit livery.Originally posted by SBS1908B:Sorry, momentary lapse in me too. 0081S is in SBST livery, so it will be around for some time, I guess.

the lynx appeared to be broken down and left as it is.. its front door appeared to be spoilt.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:I already lost sight of SBS 3572 Y for a few years. Has this bus been repainted into SBST livery?
Yes, for me, I will not scrapped the Lynx and like what The_Bus_Guide had said, preserve it. Morever, Leyland company had cease to exist as Volvo had taken over.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Unfortunately, the Lynx has been taken out from service. Its future is likely to be the scrapyard although I would like to have it preserved as the one and only Lynx in Singapore.
The front door had spoiled ? Oh thats bad. But nevermind, old buses tends to have this problem. The Lynx is still parking at AMDEP ? I would like to make a trip to the depot during National Day to visit the Lynx.Originally posted by 105090:the lynx appeared to be broken down and left as it is.. its front door appeared to be spoilt.
Only if I'm a tycoon.... I'll buy a big plot of land in Johor Bahru (as near as possible to Spore), then keep at least one bus model (even MRT & LRT railcars) for every design and preserve it. I'll also set up a museum and info / archive centre specially for Singapore public buses. So that bus fans can donate all their collections when they are old to this museum for future generations to appreciate. At least I know that all my bus collections are left behind for future generations to appreciate when I pass away one day...Originally posted by CAIX:Yes, for me, I will not scrapped the Lynx and like what The_Bus_Guide had said, preserve it.
