No they dont... even VSO i guessOriginally posted by bluezombie10:Erm, I thought all LO3x & VO3x got rear cameras?
Most SBST interchanges were designed for DD buses. In fact, 4 out of 5 single berths islandwide are taken up by VO3Xes or LO3Xes.Originally posted by samtlk:the bendies have cameras showing the drivers what's behind...but for SBST drivers, they can only rely on their side mirrors...what's direct behind their buses is totally blind to them so they dare not reverse...esp the LO3Xs & the VO3Xs
Services 74, 170 and CT 28 are all under BBDEP with service 74 having partial control.Originally posted by 105090:how does SBS737J (170 blue) ends up on service 74 and has a CT28 front and 170 blue desto inside it?
and the driver on this SBS737J mentioned he was going to drive SBS1950C on CT 28?
he mentioned about SBS816P ( CT18 ) as well
very confusing..
so how did 737 got a CT28 desto inside it? i tot CT28 all striders and SBS737 is off to do 170...Originally posted by tranquilice:Services 74, 170 and CT 28 are all under BBDEP with service 74 having partial control.
Maybe 737 was doing a cameo on CT28?Originally posted by 105090:so how did 737 got a CT28 desto inside it? i tot CT28 all striders and SBS737 is off to do 170...![]()
the most i saw on a bus -> 174, 174e, 174M destos & 143 (only side & rear destos)Originally posted by 105090:the most i saw on a bus with 3 destos was on sv268. destos were 268, 268A and CT8..
74, 170 Blue and CT28 3-in-1 is too much to take in![]()
1) Yes. But the SBS ones were wthdrawn in 2002.Last seen on Service 15Originally posted by CAIX:A few questions.
1) Is the SBS Nissan Diesel U31RCN / Fuji same as the SMRT's one (still on service) ?
2) That is due to the same type of gearbox in use, which is ZF 4HP500. note that there are 2 configurations of tis gearbox (which to choose is based on the tuning and the characteristics of the engine).Originally posted by CAIX:A few questions.

2) I notice that the moving bus sound of MKIV Alexandra Strider is very similar to the Dennis UMW Lances of SMRT buses.
Oh... I see. No wonder when the bus starts to move, it will somehow like jerk once then it increases speed.Originally posted by ^tamago^:2) That is due to the same type of gearbox in use, which is ZF 4HP500. note that there are 2 configurations of tis gearbox (which to choose is based on the tuning and the characteristics of the engine).
the one used by the Lance and Striders have the torque convertor lock up at the 2nd gear and it takes off faster. the other has the torque convertor lock up at the first gear, of which vivid examples include Scania L113CRL, UD & VO3x.
how to hear wat is the lock up? when it locks up, it sounds like as though it has changed a gear but actually it hasn't, but rather jus dropped a little of rpm and continues climbing. looking at the rpm will help.
technically (from wat i know), wat is happening is while most of the time automatic gearboxes use vortex (oil or fluid) flow to drive the turbine in a fluid coupling, locking up will form a rotary (mechanical) flow. the purpose of doing tis at low speeds is to give it more torque by reducing torque lost due to the energy lost in moving the fluids back and forth to drive the turbine.
chassis which have to be tuned between the 2 configurations includes SMRTB O.405's and B10M Mk II's.
More like 2000-2001. And they were U31SCNs.Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:1) Yes. But the SBS ones were wthdrawn in 2002.Last seen on Service 15

Some MK3s do not have their seats changed, the un-repainted 770L on service 40 is one of them. SBST Merc O405s with the grey and blue seats are used as training buses.Originally posted by 105090:anyone knows any buses which does not have its seats refurbished? like mk3s with the blue seats, and O405 with the grey and blue cushions? unfurbished seats means unfurbished aircons compartments i presume.

sorry.. its NAC mk2s (on sv151 etc), not mk3s
i missed MB O305 bells..remembered only the overhead bells and one push-button bell on upper deck only.... but VSOs upper deck bells have the same sound also![]()
