CCL Extension - Downtown Extension

LTA had announced Downtown extension, to be completed in 2012.

Hmm...I find it a good idea!
But I don't think it is an extension. From Millenia to Chinatown via Bayfront, Landmark and Cross St. Millenia and Chinatown will be Interchange stns. Landmark is situated next to the future casino are.

But 39 NEL sized trains for a 40km CCL... When even NEL has 25 trains for a 20km line... Isn't it a bit too little? -
The location map shows that Millenia will be the terminating station for Bukit Timah line (BTL) while Eastern Regional line (ERL) will continue from DTE Chinatown station.
The main purpose of building DTE is to bring people to the Integrated Resort aka Casino. -

And tunnelling entire SG up is not really a good thing also, now SGN NEL Stn sank, Paya Lebar sank... Dunno what might hapen next -

There was already plan in the past for a MRT line linking the city to the new downtown, while CCL phase 6 is to connect HarbourFront with Millenia.
