for 170, theres competition from SJE and CW2, and by SBS syandards, a potential 170e means it will have to call at more stops, which wont go down well with commuters. also, the market is quite satyurated with diluted passengers. -

As for 170, I agree... Already, the Express rt is already having very few passengers -

for express fares, the price for 38 fare stages is $2.28
Compare to SJE $2.40 and CW2 $2.80. If express, again, SBS also wants it to call at more stops along the way. If 170 has express, it gains advantages of tranfer rebates, as well as fast bus arrival times at Checkpoints.
note that with Kranji MRT, most passengers found going all the way to Queen Street is of no use.. unless you are going to the city centre. for me, i always drop at kranji. Queen Street is for those who stays near/going to the city. the heydays are over for queen street. -
I would love to see SBST introduce FFW170E but i don't think SBST would introduce it as there are already so many buses from singapore going to JB.

it will never happen.
it's not easy to introduce or amend any of the services that goes into malaysia. i'm not saying it's impossible, but it's tough to liaise and get approval from malaysian authorities on any changes to the 170 services.
plus, there is no demand for this. CW1 express and SJE already fill in the gap for this. even the CW2, which is practically the same as the FFw u 're proposing, had been scrapped by Handal Indah even though its route has been approved. same fate with CW3 & CW4. -
