i remembered takin the newest double decker (volvo)*those used in citybuzz service* it was travelin at 85kmh along a AYE , those leyland double decker at 70+++ kmh . do u guys have any clue of buses going at higher speed in spore ?

Hmm VSO on AYE? Must be 154. Anyway, the VSO is not supposed to speed. The speed limiter must have been tampered with.

Suppose on average 1 day u need 2 trips (rounding down)
1 year = 365X2 = 730 trips
suppose 1 trip is $1 buck (rounding up)
1 year = $1460
10years = $14 600

well, in the time it took to get from the AYE to the turning at the science centre, we were passed by about 7 other SBS buses at 6:20am...

of cos there are a select few tat do not have tis and when they are on the expressway, they can cheong as high as 100-110kph. tat's airport to yishun mrt in 20mins on svc 858 (the last bus last time, not now).
also, the speed limited, assuming not tampered with, may be faulty in a sense that the speed limit is effectively a few kph higher than 60kph, going as high as 75kph. -

SBST buses have their limiters at the speedo...once the speed reaches 60, the fuel injection is cut off, leaving the bus to cruise at 60km/h....that's why there are cases where the bus is going fast while the needle is stuck at 55...it's tampered with to prevent the needle from reaching 60 & cutting off the fuel -
i hate speed limiters. Btw, do any German public buses/services use the Autobahn?

i'm not really sure of the technical details either
all i know is that the speed limiters of the O405s can be disabled by disabling the speedo & that can easily be done by pulling out a certain pin under the speedo -

SBS buses always seem awfully underpowered, can hear the engine working very hard but yet not producing much acceleration.
