in their poster they stated.. "bukit timah residents have a direct link to Marine Parade!! (sense the excitement)" so this service caters to a few ppl only? -

took this bus for the 1st time frm the bus stop near the marine terrace underpass (bus stop b4 tao nan sch's bus stop) to holland village. pretty fast at abt 45mins. load was not even half-full, but satisfactory for a new service.

Additional bus stop for service 48 near seventh storey hotel. I think is from tomorrow onwards.

Took 48 earlier from Sim Lim to HV. On reaching hv, there are about 25 passengers. Half alighted and the other half shall alight at Holland drive.
Quite surprise about the high passenger load. Probably more are aware about this new service. -

Its true that 48 has rather good loads nowadays. But it is partially due to the long frequency and Deepavali. Hmm.. if now people are using it to go Little India for Deepavali, next time load might increase due to foreign workers learning to use this route. How I wish sbst48 could make more stops in town before hitting ECP.
Took SbST195 from Commonwealth MRT to Liang Court and paid $1.25. I'm glad that for $1.05, it takes me from HV to Little India with SBST48 instead. It shows how direct and straight the route is! -

36 is in a way better league as compared to 48...
ridership is still not stable though...cant really say whether its good bad

i dont think it can emulate svc 36.
the major points on svc 48 are..
direction 1 : Parkway Parade, Fu Lu Shou Complex, Sim Lim Sq, KKH, former SMU, HV.
direction 2 : HV, KKH, Tekka Mall, Parkway Parade.
36 has way more major points in town. -
I think it needs time to prove the good ridership for service 48. But there will be strong demand as it passes by Bugis area. So maybe it will be as crowded as service 36. Service 48 will be more convenient for computers shoppers to Sim Lim Square.
