  TIB 1215 Z has a "next bus stop" display that is fully working! Saw it on my ride on sv 67 from Bedok to Choa Chu Kang.
  
  Now i realise how the system benefits everyone and not just tourists: What if it's a crowded bus and you're travelling through some place which the view from the windows is quite the same for a few stops (Geylang Serai or Geylang Road for example) ? The next stop info is quite useful in this case to tell the stops apart.
  
  The display of the bus stop info text depends on its width. AFAICT, the full bus stop name as written in the Transitlink guide is used.

  [*]If the text is shorter than the display screen's length, it is bolded and no scrolling is used.[*]If bolding the text will cause the text to become longer than the display, it is not bolded and no scrolling is used.[*]If the text is longer than the screen even when not bolded, it will be bolded anyway and scrolling is used to display it in full. Text that is scrolled is always in bold.

  
  Unfortunately, only the front carriage display of 1215Z has the bus stop info. The one in the rear section displays the old stuff: Day of week / date and time.

  and the eds display inside is accurate showing almost every stop....

  heh heh..not every stop is updated..along jalan anak kechil, besides the shell station is a car service centre..now is Autobacs used to be ORix long ago..but the display still shows ORIX.. the stop before that the primary sch is now CHIJ but it shows some other schools..

  It's TIB821E, not TIB821L. Saw this LCD screen before when I took 190 on last October.

  I took SMRT 180 in a Mercedes Benz Habit with the original front display shifted to the rear cabin...

  - DAFs
  - Dennis Lance
  - Nissan UDs
  - Hino Volgrens
  
  p.s. Merdz Volgren DOes HAVE the LED Installed...

  The original display on MB O405G (except Volgrens), placed at the back of the bus, not the new LED ones.
  
  DAFs also have the new LED installed.

  Still remember taking 178 back to Boon Lay during peak hr (the svc will skip some bus stop along Woodlands), guess what the VLS display
  
  If I not wrong, I board the bus os Jurong Regional Library n the VLS show "Bef PIE" which is about 6 bus stop away frm current bus stop...

  It does happens. For me, when I board Svc 302 from Yew Tee, it shows 'Opp Blk 511A' or 'Choa Chu Kang Int'. It could be the VLS display fault.

  DAFs and the Hino Volgrens already have their LED Next Stop Display installed..
  
  Ever noticed that there are 2 different version of he LED NSD....
  For the MB Volgren Bendy, it has a longer version so that others at the back can read it more clearly...unfortunately, the Habits are unable to have those as there is no space for that longer model...the Habits use the same one as the normal rigid bus..

  Based on what had been observed, the rear LED was the original front one used back then...the back LED is incapable of showing the next stop....unless SMRT installed 2 of those LED NSD at both the front and the rear...which would be a real waste of resources...
  
  Non bus fans have only praises for the system....well at least that was what people said when i asked...and also overheard their conversation...
  but many of them thought that the fare hike was due to this...but wasnt it due to increasing cost of fuel to operate the buses...?

  Sv 965 all buses had its LED working
  
  Yesterday I saw TIB 533L the LED was still displaying WDL REG INT when it was at Punggol Rd!
  
  TIB 822C and TIB 962G never display Blk 298A when it reached at that bus stop
