This can only be a dream to us......The LCC terminal will only have buses connected to it and there will be no docking bridges.....Passengers connect to the aircraft either using a bus or walk and then board the aircraft using stairs.....Really L-O-W C-O-S-T.Originally posted by medicheng:maybe 1 of them serving the budget airline terminal?
haha finalli found some1 whu share the same interest as mi....Originally posted by demag_ac:I think some of the companies recently bought the latest crane from Tadano, the GT550E (55 tons capacity), saw 3 of them running around Singapore already. KCD bored piles I think is Bored Piling Singapore, engaged by Hock Lian Seng - Hock Chuan Ann JV, too bad Hock Chuan Ann pulled out of the JV due to financial difficulties. I can't remember, have to check my files back at my site office.![]()
Yes, you are correct. BRE Phase 2 is also a viaduct, with a pair of at-grade roads, which in my opinion, is useless.Originally posted by tranquilice:Will Bartley Rd Extension Phase 2 be build as a viaduct or build on ground surface? Phase 1 between Kaki Bukit and Tampines Ave 10 is build as a viaduct which leads me to think that phase 2 will also be build as a viaduct?
L&M was also involved in the building of the semi-expressway along Pasir Panjang Rd, its contract was terminated by LTA recently as it was unable to complete the construction works by the extended deadline.
As for this, I have no idea. My theory is that the interchange between CCL and ERL at MacPherson will be like Dhoby Ghuat like that, the whole station is linked up, but the tunnels are not. That means that ERL trains need a seperate route into KCD.Originally posted by tranquilice:I thought the tunnel from ERL leads to KCD from MacPherson station? MacPherson station will be the future interchange between ERL and CCL phase 2.
The 2 companies mentioned above, I have no idea, sorry, but I heard a rumor (note, only a rumor), that Hyundai is now doing private sector works only.Originally posted by BonJovi:haha finalli found some1 whu share the same interest as mi....
btw....wad happen to Hyuandai? tt korean company? they kena blacklisted in sg? coz i long time nv heard frm them liao.
My favourate JV of all time is KSM JV (Kumagai-Sembawang-Mitsui). They built the Boon Keng and Potong Pasir NEL back then (one of this station is juz outside my block) And ya....i remembered they appointed a company known as "IP Foundation" for the diaphragm wall works.....any idea is this company still doing business in singapore? or haf they been blacklisted?

I guess for ERL using the eastern side of KCD, the tunnels will connects to a ERL station somewhere in Kaki Bukit nearer to Airport Rd.Originally posted by demag_ac:As for this, I have no idea. For your information, KCD is designed to handle the trains from both CCL and ERL. The design is such that CCL will use the Western side of the Depot (Upper Paya Lebar side), while ERL will use the eastern side of the Depot (Hougang Ave 3 side).
Meaning ERL will come under SMRT for sure.Originally posted by demag_ac:As for this, I have no idea. Pasir Ris can link to Changi Airport.Originally posted by medicheng:i believe the boon lay will have LRT as the so called JRL (jurong region line).... might have a north and south loop.
North is for link between NTU and Boon Lay... and south link is for the industrial areas and boon lay.....
and after Joon Keng I believe will extend more to tuas south.....
and i bravely guess, yishun will link with punggol and punggol will link to pasir ris... and pasir ris might link a station to the Reclaimed teckong via causeway like sentosa and the main line?

i checked the ATLAS....Singapore future lines will be even more messier...a reliable source (forgot the name), though not that up to date...Pasir Ris might be extended in the distant futureOriginally posted by disappear:Pasir Ris can link to Changi Airport.

MRT Northeast Line C712 Project -Punggol
This Design-and-Build contract was awarded to Sato Kogyo by LTA on March 1998. This contract involves the design & construction of the 300metres long Punggol MRT station and 1300metres long underground tunnels between the two stations. This station has a futuristic design that will certainly be a marvel to behold upon its completion. To incorporate for future infrastructure development, a North Shore Line box tunnel has also been built below the Punggol MRT station. As at June 2000, the structure progress is ahead of agreed schedule.
The CIDB estimates that from now until the year 2000, the public sector is expected to award more than US$5.71 billion worth of contracts each year. Civil engineering projects are expected to remain well above US$1.43 billion in light of recent announcements on the new Light Rail Transit line, called the North Shore Line, which will run from Woodlands to Pasir Ris, and link up coastal towns along the Johor Straits; an underground network, on which a feasibility study is underway; and the Mass Rapid Transit extension to Changi Airport.
