In 1978, it was listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore.

You and your WDL Tpt again...Originally posted by iveco:The purpose of forming SBS was to consolidate bus ops and provide integrated transit. 10 years later, a second bus company was formed to provide some competition. What a contradiction. Heck, just give Woodlands Transport the eastern sector. Perth is smaller that Singapore, yet they have 3 bus operators.
By right, overall management should come under TransitLink, with various sectors famred out to up to 3 operators, while the subways are leased to SMRT.Originally posted by sbst275:You and your WDL Tpt again...
You go see KMB website... With compeition, end up, only the profitable rts esp the KMB 10X and 11X Cross Harbour rts have good frequency... Most have poor frequency as of low demand...
KMB Sv 8: FAC
20 mins Peak
30 mins Off Peak
23: NAC
8 mins peak
20 mins off peak
51/ 53: FAC
20 mins peak
35 mins off peak
As of compeition, ends up wastage as of duiluted market-share, meaning higher operation cost
You think so? It is making your life difficult, iveco...Originally posted by iveco:By right, overall management should come under TransitLink, with various sectors famred out to up to 3 operators, while the subways are leased to SMRT.
Transperth does a better job in the area of integration than TransitLink. The latter has lots to learn. There are no such things as CTS or mutual bleeding of competitors in Perth. Swan Transit (member of Transit Systems), Southern Coast Transit (part of Connex) and Path Transit (owned by Grenda's, parent of Volgren) have been assigned their respective sectors by Transperth, who is overall in-charge. Train services are provided by a single operator, since it is more efficient for a single organisation to maintain railroads. Also, note that Transperth is a government body, not like the commercial ventrue that TransitLink appears to be.Originally posted by sbst275:You think so? It is making your life difficult, iveco...
If that's the case, why have 3 operator when end up parent co is the same?
Bus vs MRT then can SMRT run all the train rts... If NEL is just given to them, the frequency might be 20 mins off peak
iveco... Let's put it this way, what Aust there can do, may not work in Asia..Originally posted by iveco:Transperth does a better job in the area of integration than TransitLink.
