  Well... double decks are deployed onto those svs that really have loading higher than single deck (But not too sure abt the cut off frequency)...
  
  Otherwise, have dd but longer waiting period svs like 56, 64

  high freq svcs in Boon Lay like sv252 179 and 199 uses DDs but all are always near empty, unlike their NUS counterpart, sv96, which has better loads.. not justifyng le.. some more 252 is having a 5-10mins for off peak when normal is 10-20 mins..

  I think you have yet to see the load on service 179 during the peak hours. Do you know that service 179 has 2 berths at Boon Lay interchange? One for normal queue while the other for morning peak queue.

  not only that...179 can have 4 DDs together with all 4 fully packed
  
  actually the most crowded busstop is the one outside lib 1
  both 179 & 199 serve that area in opposite directions...they can be said to have almost the same load
  the only difference is that 179 get the other half of its load from the City Harvest Church along Pioneer Road North whereas for 199 most of the people will alight along Jln Bahar to transfer to 172 or those people who live in the Westwood area...which is why u see 179 crowded at Boon Lay Int but 199 looks empty

  sry.. not really aware of that.. but then NTU and NIE only 2 svcs between them.. no choice.. i remembered sv99 and TAM feeders allowed boardings at backdoors then.. also due to high passenger volumes..

  they still do, so does 179....for people using ez-link. the inspector/duty driver will ask the BC to switch the exit reader to ENTRY

  179 really deserves DDs...not only students use it...as mentioned, City harvest goers also use this service...not too sure bout 199...but i noe dat DDs on 199 is also necessary.....
