I noticed that..Originally posted by 105090:Today, i was at WRI and found something not seen last time:
i waited for sv911 (to WDL chkpt). like 3 weeks ago, the wait was long, exceeding 10mins.. while waiting, sv900, 901 past bye, full of pax.. SC lets pax alights and waiting ppl board at the boarding berth ie. alights and boards together. this goes on for the consecutive bus. on 911, i noticed theres only 2 12m buses serving the WDL > st13 > Ctr Rd (loop) route.
what i concluded: 911 normally takes 5 mins to come with bendies, is at its worst at 15 mins, and only 2 buses, compares to 6 last 2 months.
apparently SMRT is facing a severe shortage of buses.. mainly becos of sv190 and 950?
I notice 950 now @ 10 mins frequency...Originally posted by 105090:wow.. this going to make me hate SMRT more than ever.. only 2 buses on the lucrative 911 route! how can..yeah.. 190 is really shortage.. some of 911 buses gone over to 950 also
Yes, me too. SMRT Woodlands Interchange was not like that before !!!Originally posted by 105090:wow.. this going to make me hate SMRT more than ever.. only 2 buses on the lucrative 911 route! how can..yeah.. 190 is really shortage.. some of 911 buses gone over to 950 also

Wow this is really getting from worse to worst. and it's not becos of 190...190 is the one having shortage of busesOriginally posted by 105090:apparently SMRT is facing a severe shortage of buses.. mainly becos of sv190 and 950?
Agree with you... See my prev post on how many buses SBS and SMRT operated on 190Originally posted by cck_190:Wow this is really getting from worse to worst. and it's not becos of 190...190 is the one having shortage of buses
The alighting and boardin at the same berth have been a common practice...if u were to notice properly, the alighting berth is all used up most of the time wif habits and other bendies.. 911 as compared to 912 and 913 does not earn that much..if u had noticed os blk 6A at WLDS CTR RD.. ppl from Shieng Shong supermkt prefer to take 912 n 913 back home...911 is just a direct bus from ctr rd.. not really that lucrative.....all i have to say....WRONG CHOICE OF BUS SERVICE....faced the same prob as u b4...911 have always been depending on the 12m o4o5......shared wif 95o..Originally posted by 105090:Today, i was at WRI and found something not seen last time:

is this true... this is the best evidence tt 190 was better off during its sbs daes... smrt/tibs realli cannot make it...Originally posted by sbst275:I notice 950 now @ 10 mins frequency...
190... SBS deployed 43 ADD and 1 SD.. Now only 24 bendy and 12 SD
I got an idea... Maybe SBST should lease out a few MK4s or MBO405s to SMRT and painted in SMRT livery!Originally posted by 105090:Today, i was at WRI and found something not seen last time:

Can give the OAC if that is the caseOriginally posted by cool_elf:I got an idea... Maybe SBST should lease out a few MK4s or MBO405s to SMRT and painted in SMRT livery!Or maybe Air Con Scanias!
That what SBS did in the past! SBS leased out a few OF1417s to TIBS back in the early 90s. I simply liked the engine roar when OF1417 buses decelerates to a stop. So cool!!

I think we will see more lower-moraled captains and of course complaining passengers that SMRT Bus will be more than crippled by its parent company, to do anything.
i notice only mainly those intratown svcs do alight-and-board at the same berth, but not feeders.Originally posted by muziq bus:The alighting and boardin at the same berth have been a common practice...if u were to notice properly, the alighting berth is all used up most of the time wif habits and other bendies.. 911 as compared to 912 and 913 does not earn that much..if u had noticed os blk 6A at WLDS CTR RD.. ppl from Shieng Shong supermkt prefer to take 912 n 913 back home...911 is just a direct bus from ctr rd.. not really that lucrative.....all i have to say....WRONG CHOICE OF BUS SERVICE....faced the same prob as u b4...911 have always been depending on the 12m o4o5......shared wif 95o..
Erm.. 5 buses arh.. not true not true. 911's frequency is still by far one of the better ones at WRI and having too many buses ply such a short route is wasting fuel and money. The main demand for 911 is St 82 sector.Originally posted by 105090:i notice only mainly those intratown svcs do alight-and-board at the same berth, but not feeders.
911.. is actually one of the fastest links to get fm WRI to Sheng Shiong WDL Ctr Rd.. 913 is less popular as it is further from the escalator.. i always take 911 there and 911 or 913 back..
i rem 911 got those MB Hispano and up to 5 buses on the WDL ctr rt.. ahh.. quite obvious SMRT focus on its trains, and SBS more on the bus.. an obvious sign..![]()
When was the mamashop next to service 962 berth closed?Originally posted by TIB1171R:Woodlands Int has been just that and that ever since TIBS' times till now, with changes like control room for lift at MRT station above, closure of the last remaining provision shop next to 962's berth and new 966 berth.
about 2 weeks ago.. hmm yeah.. the place now seems dead..Originally posted by tranquilice:When was the mamashop next to service 962 berth closed?I can't buy drinks from there anymore.
Nope... Alight the passengers only at the alighting bay...Originally posted by TIB1171R:Erm.. please do not mix up with the bus interchange itself (which is the subject here) and the bus services which use the interchange.
Woodlands Int has been just that and that ever since TIBS' times till now, with changes like control room for lift at MRT station above, closure of the last remaining provision shop next to 962's berth and new 966 berth.
966/950 berth has been an alighting berth for feeders 900, 901 and 903. With the addition of this berth, buses still continue to use it as we cant possibly have buses creating jams alighting pax at the berths where 161/168 alights pax.
Intra-town services 911, 912 and 913 now call at the berths towards checkpoint directly unless the drivers are ahead of time. This saves time as pax can board and alight at the same time. It also helps as there'll be space at the alightitng berths for other buses such as 161, 168, 962, 964, 965, 969 and 169 to alight pax.
However, berths 1, 2 and 3 can be packed at times as 911, 912 and 913 buses park there for awhile before starting a new trip. Buses serving 856, 901, 900 and 903 also sometimes use these berths to park temporarily before starting a new journey as drivers just need to tap their card at the pax info counter before making another trip again. They will only park their buses at the proper bus park when their real break comes.
what about the one near 161/168 alighting berth? i hardly notice i, but its gone.. used to have a Blazing Handphone stall there alsoOriginally posted by tranquilice:When was the mamashop next to service 962 berth closed?I can't buy drinks from there anymore.
