Service 927: Hopeless service
926 only runs on weekends.Originally posted by SBS9889U:926 also the same case.
why they have to buy from kovan? SKG got market right.. all SKG ppl's pride.. funny to market-hope...Originally posted by gorby107:You know that Sv 119 on weekdays especially school days when going to or back schools it can be packed and full house for single deck and packed for double-decked around the time between 6:30 am to 7:15 am so you can't say it is empty even it happen so but sometimes in weekends it can be packed too as aunties from Kovan Market take the bus to their home nearby after groceries shopping.
It was like that in the past (early 80s). All the trunks services pass through different parts of Toa Payoh, before going to Braddell Road or Jalan Toa Payoh. Benefits certain passengers, but in the end, wasted time..Originally posted by deathscythe99:Hopefully, the feeders in TPY will have normal buses driving through them, makes it better, and there's no need for feeders too!
I hope they can make that decisionCos TPY is really has mainly 3 routes to get from one end to the other...? Just take away 231, 235, 232 and let 238 remain
Are you sure services using Nissan are ALL regarded as loss making services? Think thrice before making such sweeping statements. I doubt u have seen how packed can 855 be.Originally posted by 105090:can also suggest to add sv855? it also uses Nissans.. Svcs using Nissan all regarded as loss-making svcs..
sv317 also bad loads sometimes..
I think he means 921. This bus can go to Dairy Farm when Petir Rd is extended over there. One of the street directories says there is such a plan.Originally posted by gohby:Anyway 343 is NOT 941. 941 is ex-361.
i agree...partially....187 is profitable and is usually packed...but it still uses Nissan...........still, 178, 921 are not as profitable and uses Nissan...To the public, the Nissans are old and ugly buses...they hate it.....i heard a person commented at the busstop(upon seeing the Nissan)..." U mean this is a bus?"...Originally posted by gohby:Are you sure services using Nissan are ALL regarded as loss making services? Think thrice before making such sweeping statements. Svc 317 is not that bad till the extent that it have "bad loads"
Anyway 343 is NOT 941. 941 is ex-361.
Observe more and be 100% certain of it before you start suggesting your own philosophy.

Most rts that go to camps, the highest demand is bet 0630 and 0710-0720
Great. Since you dont live in smrt areas and dont know the loadings of smrt buses well enough, then have the decency to refrain from making such statements that are not backed up with solid evidence as it may be misleading to others.Originally posted by 105090:pls.. i dont stay in SMRT areas.. and as for 317, its 5 pax the most for S'goon Gdns <> Berwick Dr sector.. not very good..

Pls mind what youve said.. If you are not sure of the situation, PLS DO NOT POST anything which seems logical to you BUT in reality, a OPINION made by you and NOT a FACT. If itz like what you had stated saying that services using Nissan are regarded as loss-making Services, How do you EXPLAIN the high demand Services like 855, 853 187 ? How are you going to explain that.? Yes.. i know.. Svc like 920 have a low demand and UDs are being deployed on it.. Mind you PLs get this into your mind.. There is a Shortage of buses now going on.. so.. when they have no choice, UDs have to make it up for the shortage of buses.. there was also a period of time when UDs are being deployed on 970 and 75.. Are you trying to say that svcs. like 855, 853, 970 and 75 have LOW demand thats why UDs are being deployed on them ? Another point tat i would like to bring up.. Yes.. UD might be an old bus to a few of you.. But.. Comments like "You mean this a Bus " really makes mi hurt.. if that came from a Non-BusFan, i could understand abit.. but.. If that came out from a BusFan.. i think.. y uought to wake Up and think of your actions.. UD might be Old.. BUT.. afterall, itz still A BUS.. im sure that the UD is Even older than a few of your in here in this forum. If you cant appreciate a bus like UD.. i think.. you better go do a reflection to see whether you are fit to call yourself a BusFan in the VEry 1st place.Originally posted by 105090:can also suggest to add sv855? it also uses Nissans.. EXCUSE ME, but have you PERSONALLY stationed yourself at Woodlands Int and see for yourself the loads to the zoo? Better still, go to the bus stop opposite Marsiling MRT to see the total number of pax going to the zoo. Yes, 926 may have a terrible frequency but it charges $1 flat fare. So how do you know it's not profitable.Originally posted by SBS9889U:926 also the same case.
Pls la u ppl.. this is just his opinions... anyway, talking about a bus-fan.. how u gonna define it? dont tell me it means spending 3 hours chasing one bus just for a ride in it, spending lots of cash on its collectibles when it isnt within your means, clearing guides from racks, and talk like you ppl are big towkay? ppl just saying his opinions out thats all.. not pointing to any1 in particular.. and, u thinkSMRT or SBST gonna care bout this? of cos not.. its like simply worshipping buses, which should, i hope, in no way affect anyone in their daily lifes or to an extent, chased them away from this forum.. not too nice rite? ppl in this forum are considered nicer ppl, unlike those "ah bengs"..Originally posted by sBs_boy:Pls mind what youve said.. 926 isnt a flat $1 fare already.. fare-stage dist-related, according to guide..Originally posted by TIB1171R:EXCUSE ME, but have you PERSONALLY stationed yourself at Woodlands Int and see for yourself the loads to the zoo? Use your common sense. Would this service, which is usually used by parents n their kids, have high loads nearing exams n stuff?! Loads vary according to the time of day and year. So dont just assume a service with poor loads is unprofitable. If it is, why is SMRT still operating it now?
If you DONT stay in SMRT areas, HOW ON EARTH would you KNOW the loads and patterns of their services?! For goodness sake, STOP making assumptions!Originally posted by 105090:pls.. i dont stay in SMRT areas.. and as for 317, its 5 pax the most for S'goon Gdns <> Berwick Dr sector.. not very good..

i may not stay in SMRT areas, but doesnt mean i dont travel there at all ok? and for your information, u may like to know, from previous thread, i dont go for new things, i go for old ones.. my favourites? most old buses B57 Lo2x Scania O305 Nissan etc, except MB O405s.. as mentioned, this is just an opinion, not a descision.. really..Originally posted by TIB1171R:If you DONT stay in SMRT areas, HOW ON EARTH would you KNOW the loads and patterns of their services?! All NISSAN buses are now spares, and they are NOT deployed on services based on the demand/frequency whatever. They are there to help cope with SMRT's need for buses. Otherwise, tell me, why, for the love of god, would s187, a very high demand svc, have UDs deployed on them?!
UDs, like any other buses, are just buses and everyone here ought to appreciate them.
