Nope... Those are NDP chartersOriginally posted by kitoshizc:1) Saw a lot of Chartered buses today along Raffles Boulevard. It was a long stretch that occupies up to 2 lanes.
Anyone saw?
2) So buses like 111, 97, 106, etc.. they have to loop near raffles city there to continue their journey and the drivers cant rest?
They still loop at Suntec (see Press Release). Anyway drivers for 97, 111, 133 & 502 don't rest there during their normal route also...those are loop services.Originally posted by kitoshizc:So buses like 111, 97, 106, etc.. they have to loop near raffles city there to continue their journey and the drivers cant rest?
Hmm, saw 111 and 106 doing a loop before Raffles City and continuing journey (ie. Bras Basah Road, North Bridge Road, Stamford Road). Even the passengers on board 960 had to alight outside Bras Basah Complex and the bus loops before Raffles City and continue its journey back to Woodlands.Originally posted by samtlk:They still loop at Suntec (see Press Release). SMRT services loop at Raffles City. Only SBST services loop at suntec (with the exception of some blur sotongs who loop with the SMRT buses or even loop at Kallang because they don't know the way).Originally posted by delonchew:Hmm, saw 111 and 106 doing a loop before Raffles City and continuing journey (ie. If a passenger is taking the bus beyond the diverted looping point which is North Bridge Rd, can he remains onboard?Originally posted by delonchew:Hmm, saw 111 and 106 doing a loop before Raffles City and continuing journey (ie. Nope. Everyone got chased down the bus.Originally posted by tranquilice:If a passenger is taking the bus beyond the diverted looping point which is North Bridge Rd, can he remains onboard?
Only for services that originally terminate at Marina Centre Ter u get chased down. For services that originally loop at Suntec, eg 111, 502 & 700A, u can stay on the bus.Originally posted by delonchew:Nope. Everyone got chased down the bus.
Remember the incident where a service 97 BC chased everyone onboard to alight at Beach Rd? I was on this bus.Originally posted by samtlk:Only for services that originally terminate at Marina Centre Ter u get chased down. He has no rights to chase u off. Sv97 end of trip is at Jurong East Int, not at Suntec or Beach Rd or anywhere else. The only exception is sv97A which ends at Temasek Ave.Originally posted by tranquilice:Remember the incident where a service 97 BC chased everyone onboard to alight at Beach Rd? Another exception is 97e which ends at Fullerton Rd.Originally posted by samtlk:He has no rights to chase u off. Sv97 end of trip is at Jurong East Int, not at Suntec or Beach Rd or anywhere else. The only exception is sv97A which ends at Temasek Ave.
I think it is the Suntec Tower 2 or Centennial Tower bus stop would be the nearest????Originally posted by cornyfish2000:I usually take service 70 back home on saturday evenings from the bus stop outside the Esplanade main entrance, but recently because of the bus diversion, i can't find where 70 has been diverted to... the chart at the bus stop is also too confusing for me to understand.
Anyone knows the nearest bus stop with service 70 that i can take when going home from esplanade? Thanks!
During the diversion, take service 70 along Temasek Ave outside Centennial Tower. (Service 70 normal route calls at the bus stop opposite Centennial Tower)Originally posted by cornyfish2000:I usually take service 70 back home on saturday evenings from the bus stop outside the Esplanade main entrance, but recently because of the bus diversion, i can't find where 70 has been diverted to... the chart at the bus stop is also too confusing for me to understand.
