Maybe in TERMINAL 3 or the budget airline terminal?Originally posted by SBS3688Y:Too bad, Changi Airport PTB 1&2 basement bus-stops cannot be upgraded into A/C queueing area.
I blame the poor design of Terminal 1 & 2. Had the ecsalators been located directly down to the basement bus-stop passenger queueing area, passengers will not need to cross over the driveway to queue up for the bus. Therefore, the queueing berth can be air-conditioned. Also, it's less dangerous as passengers do not need to dash across the driveway to board the bus.
Also, the early airport planners failed to forsee the future by catering to double-deckers and articulated buses enter the basement too....
i saw this in my sis longman atlas....Originally posted by tranquilice:How to build a new town in Changi Coast where it's so near to Changi Airport?![]()
Your idea is good. The buses can terminate there and proceed to the coach park as previously done by service 390.Originally posted by 105090:i think its too cramp, with taxis cars and coaches.. and, hows the bus going to top? call at the Departure hall, then go down to the Arrival Hall? can be a good idea if: T1 Departure >> T2 Departure >> terminates at T2. then, commence at T1 Arrival >> T2 Arrival >> City..
DDs and bendies could be used.. but then, very few people take bus to CGA, as many choose taxi and MRT over the buses, all are so long-winded, except sv36 and sv858.
i remembered sv27 (Tampines, NAC scania ) used to park at the T1 coach bay
Anyway it's just only a plan. Changi Coast is too near to the airport and it is impossible to build a town due to buildings height limit and noise pollution.Originally posted by muziq bus:i saw this in my sis longman atlas....
Singapore Concept Plan 2001.......Singapore In The Future
it is gonna be beside airport area...da area is very large....as large as the airport.....da picture shows that the future area will be connected to the Woodlands/Pasir Ris Shore Line....the line runs from Wdl, Simpang, Seletar, Punggol, Pasir Ris and Changi Coast....in 40 to 50 years time...as stated
Derz even plan for the WDL CTR RD to be connected....in the map it shows....
Pulau Ubin n Tekong also may be connected by an LRT line
(from previous Concept Plan)...but the plan for that is scrapped already i tynk
Ermm not sure whether SMRT Long Vehicle(articulated) like the Bendy or the Volgren Merz if deployed on Sv 858 can go into the interchange but it is quite cramp in thereOriginally posted by SBS3688Y:Too bad, Changi Airport PTB 1&2 basement bus-stops cannot be upgraded into A/C queueing area.

even if T3 bus-station is built to cater for bendies and DDs, these bus services still need to stopover at the space constrained T1 and T2 bus-stations right?? Unless the authorities are capable of upgrading T1 & T2 bus-stations to accomodate bendies and DDs as well....Originally posted by SBS9889U:Maybe in TERMINAL 3 or the budget airline terminal?
that's mission impossible... Even the regular sized buses encounter some difficulties going through the T1 & T2 basement bus-stations... a real test of BCs skills...Originally posted by gorby107:Ermm not sure whether SMRT Long Vehicle(articulated) like the Bendy or the Volgren Merz if deployed on Sv 858 can go into the interchange but it is quite cramp in there
ya its a plan only to reclaim...if only i can scan da pic.... I believe singapore would not juz anyhow plan...since its in the concept plan for the future it might or might not be carried out but have to wait 40-50years....the future planned Long Island at East Coast is also shown.....Originally posted by tranquilice:Anyway it's just only a plan. Hougang South interchange will never come back. But I hope LTA expands the crowded Hougang Central interchange.Originally posted by stellazio:i wish they will give me back my hougang south interchange and make it like he toa payoh one..woo..
Where would you like the location to be?Originally posted by iveco:How about having a centralised bus station at CGA? The skytrain will take people from the bus station to their respective terminals.
The reclaimation of Changi East is done if I'm not mistaken, and the new Changi East Air Base is located here, together with Changi Naval Base.Originally posted by muziq bus:ya its a plan only to reclaim...if only i can scan da pic.... The proposed station might have been to serve the checkpoint-bound travellers as well as shoppers in the shopping areas.Originally posted by muziq bus:ya its a plan only to reclaim...if only i can scan da pic.... WDL CTR RD future plan seems to be near the train station at da chkpoint...dunno y its dere though...may not work out anyway.....the previous concept plan, P. Ubin n Tekong was oso planned to be connected but then scrapped...n not shown in the concept plan now
HGS should have been given similar status as YCK terminal, IMO. It was a mistake to close it forever.Originally posted by tranquilice:Hougang South interchange will never come back. But I hope LTA expands the crowded Hougang Central interchange.
Maybe next to the Valuair terminal.Originally posted by tranquilice:Where would you like the location to be?
in da map and the legend....the reclamation area is big and the colour code means residential leh...Originally posted by tranquilice:The reclaimation of Changi East is done if I'm not mistaken, and the new Changi East Air Base is located here, together with Changi Naval Base.
Aiyo...i mean i forgot to add the "not" there and i do not wish to change it as if other people see the post made by you..they will be confused as i say that the ter is not built on basement if i edit...Originally posted by tranquilice:
