Which 2 amendments are you referring to?Originally posted by SBS9611D:The 2 amendments took place a month apart. 105 was initially extended to Jurong East to serve the upcoming IMM and Toh Guan estate. DDs had a brief stint on this service. When the second amendment was effected, a full Merc fleet took over.
105 did get LAs after being extended to Jurong East. Only saw them a few times before they vanished.Originally posted by tranquilice:Which 2 amendments are you referring to?
How can DDs be on service 105 when it ply Lor Chuan which has a height limit under Braddell flyover, if this is what you mean?
I remember the amendment for service 105 to ply C'wealth Ave and Queensway took place in 1993. Because this amendment had got something to do with the introduction of service 156 in the same year.

and sv315 used to go straight from> SG Gdn Way > YCK road > AMK ave 3> SN ave 1 (one direction)(loop). after that, it was extended to North Ave 4 sometime after 1995..
105 had DDs when it was extended to Jurong East. They vanished a few weeks later when it merged with 312. Also, 104 was changed to a roundtrip terminating at NBR on the same day it swapped routes with 105. Previously it looped at Upp Cross St. Do note that the rationalisation of 1992-93 was messy and many of you may be easily confused.Originally posted by Zilchster:As for 105 having DDs...it was when it was serving Bishan Road. When it was amended to Jurong East (by then it was plying via Lorong Chuan) there were no DDs liao.

I had the Transitlink Guide 1992 and its June supplement, both as references. I remember that services with DDs plying Boon Lay Way (between Toh Tuck Ave and Toh Guan Rd) during that period of time were 99 and 147. There were no DDs on service 105 plying this road.Originally posted by iveco:105 had DDs when it was extended to Jurong East. They vanished a few weeks later when it merged with 312. 105 Does not have any DD. Been staying in Toa Payoh for 20 over years, never see before 105 have DD. 105 was SV 95 previously (Clementi to PLAB) before it being amended and renamed as 105 to Serangoon. The old SV95 also dun have DD.Originally posted by iveco:105 did get LAs after being extended to Jurong East. Only saw them a few times before they vanished.
Service 105 did have DDs (Leyland Atlantean) when it ply Bishan. I knew because I rode on them before.Originally posted by lemon1974:105 Does not have any DD. Actually it was shortened, I don't know why it indicated "extended", not like the route was extended to Yio Chu Kang or further north.Originally posted by iveco:The supplement says 134 was extended. But for an AMK-NBR route to become BSH-NBR, it seems more of a cutback, IMO.![]()

Originally posted by disappear:Well, at least from 31 July onward tbere will be 58 from B02 Serangoon Ave 2 to Serangoon MRT station. This would be the first bus which turns left at the Ave 2/Upp Sgoon Rd junction. dont mind walking to B02 to wait for 58. better than walking all the way to the mrt station. dont like waiting at Boundary Road bus stop for 53/853/22 because it is has to walk and crossed overhead bridge. Also, has to get across 3 traffic light(4 for 853) to reach MRT, whereas 58,from B02 Ave 2, no traffic light if toward the MRT.
The bus above doesnt exist.
Those who use this bus stop will know that even though it is not far away from the MRT station, there is NO bus which can go there. 133 and 135 turn right at the Upp Sgoon Road junction, 105 go to Yangzheng/Zhonghua Sch. If ONLY there is a bus which simply turns LEFT, we will reach the Serangoon MRT immediately.
Even though it is possible to walk from this area to Serangoon MRT, it is not near enough, so pple there may want to take bus to the MRT.
Currently, if people dont walk to the Station, their alternative is to go to the Cardiff Court or Boundary Rd Bus stop to wait for 22/53/853, or take 133 to Potong Pasir MRT, which is very slow during morning heavy traffic.however, the 22/53/853 option is for pple who live near boundary road, what about
those who live along B02/01 Serangoon Ave 2?? [b]why go to Potong Pasir Station when Serangoon MRT is just one stop away?

if i am not mistaken, new service 58 will go exactly the above route, from ZHSS directly to Serangoon MRT station. So, your wish has come true.Originally posted by sbskidz:Your route may include ZHSS bus stop as zhonghua students could take them to the station...
