Not really, the routes have to be approved first by the PTC then they can operate the routes. Hey, I've got an idea. How about farming out the PSR route group to WDL Tpt for a trial period of one year? I doubt SMRT won't think anything about it as they only care in their MRT business and not bus. I think that CSS will be the least treated under SMRT. The government wants public transport to increase fares, so CSS also must raise their fares. Tong Tar is too insignificant, IMO. Only a matter of time before they get "eaten up" by another entity. WDL Tpt also includes Trans-United Corp. I still remember TUC having ambitious plans to become the city-state's 3rd bus fleet operator when it was first established.
Anyway, I don't think we can have many bus operators because a smaller city like Perth has only 3 contractors for bus operations. -
Pte Bus sector is now in a critical time, either consolidte or many closes down
