diz was my message....(edited)
Message : SMRT had only introduced 950 but SBS Transit have already
planned to introduced 4 services in one month. Residents in Yew Tee, Bukit
Panjang have been hoping for a new service. Is SMRT not keen to introduce
new services and instead wants the people to take the trains instead.
n o ya, i like da idea of svc 58 plyin Ubi Ave 3...coz derz a warehouse dere dat i usually frequent...n derez a big police station dere which in da past i had trouble going to..
BPJ residents had complained to Zaobao regarding the sorry state of bus services in tehir estate, but nothing had been done. THis shows the low opinion SMRT has for their bus ops.Originally posted by muziq bus:fyi, i had even enquire smrt on this even b4 sbst as well, have u even tried going to yew tee n BP area? where lrt serves..
that was just another sample answer...
dey keep sayin that they do monitor the situation dere..but we all noe it is not really dat true...
I think BPJ and SBW residents should heckle Gan Kim Yong and Warren Lee to make SMRT wake up their bloody ideas. Penny Low did a great job for PGL folks. Just look at the transport links in that area today..Originally posted by Zilchster:I understand that Bukit Panjang and Yew Tee may not have enough bus services. However, bus companies also need to consider whether they have enough resources to introduce new buses, whether there's ridership and a market for that new service. They will need to go through the LTA for approval too. It is not a race between bus companies to see who introduce more new bus services.
By the way, telling Company A about what Company B is doing when Company A is aware of is pretty extra on your part. Come on, what is that you wish to achieve? If you think is the way of pressurising them to introduce new bus services, that is so childish. Sending this kind of mails would irritate them, because there's nothing constructive in them. It's as good as this - Since A is doing this, there you must do this. Why don't I see you doing that. As I said above, it's not about competing to see who introduce more bus services. To be more constructive, why don't you suggest to them where to introduce new routes to. Or if you wish, you can take to task with the MPs of the respective new towns into talking to bus company.
Why single out SMRT? If SBST is free to roam in all parts of Singapore, seek help from both SBST as well. If SMRT rejects proposed new service route, suggest same route to SBST. SMRT or LTA should not stop SBST from initiating new routes in those areas.Originally posted by iveco:I think BPJ and SBW residents should heckle Gan Kim Yong and Warren Lee to make SMRT wake up their bloody ideas. Sembawang town currently has 6 trunk services 167, 856, 859, 962, 980 and 981. As for Choa Chu Kang town, currently it has 8 trunk services 67, 172, 188, 190, 925, 927, 975 and 985.Originally posted by iamgoondu:Based on above fact, Sembawang should have 4 trunk services, and CCK should have 10 trunk services.
And now Sembawang has 4 trunk services?
Remember the number of dwelling units were as at mar00.
So CCK still short of 2 trunk services!Originally posted by tranquilice:Sembawang town currently has 6 trunk services 167, 856, 859, 962, 980 and 981. As for Choa Chu Kang town, currently it has 8 trunk services 67, 172, 188, 190, 925, 927, 975 and 985.
And yes, they are trunk services no matter the length of the routes or whether they operate at peak hours or not.
Not only 2, Choa Chu Kang needs more than that.Originally posted by iamgoondu:So CCK still short of 2 trunk services!
