If your journey exceeds 4 trips or 2 hours, you can claim the balance from any TransitLink Office or here provided you do not exceed 45mins between each transfer.
I know there is a computer at the control office of Toa Payoh Int & Boon Lay Int that allows us to check how much we can claim back. Look for the comp with a DD wallpaper.
Quoted from SBST website:
From 1st October 2002, SBS Transit will cap the maximum fare for a journey at $1.90, regardless of the number of bus transfers a commuter makes on our basic bus services which excludes Nite Owl services and Express services.
Commuters can claim their reimbursement at any TransitLink Ticket Offices. To check whether they are eligible for reimbursement, SBS Transit commuters can call the TransitLink hotline at 1800-CALL ONE (1800-2255 663).
Transfer information can be found here

Tourist Day Ticketscan try this.
Priced at SGD 10.00, the Tourist Day Tickets allows you to take up to 12 rides a day regardless of distance traveled, on the MRT and on all basic fare bus services. You will need to inform the ticketing officer of the exact date you wish to use the card as it is printed on the card and valid for that day only. Tickets can be bought at any TransitLink Ticket Sales Office located in most Mass rapid Transit stations and bus interchanges up to seven days in advance.
Statisically, they're not wrong. But once again, they are comparing with developed countries in Europe and US.Originally posted by ^tamago^:Absolutely correct.
SMRT Buses wanted to join in this July, but eventually gave up, saying that public transport fares in Singapore are already one of the lowest in the world.
only 12 rides a day? needs to be bought in advance? do i need a foreign passport to show that im a tourist? because im not. bah. a day travel pass can be bought on the spot, and allows me unlimited rides on the tube and bus in london. and best of all, ANYONE can buy one.Originally posted by medicheng:can try this.
Those were farecards & are no longer available. They were replaced by The Visitors Card...for tourists only.Originally posted by medicheng:can try this.

What HENG@ means is that we don't have an adult card that works like the student concession pass where we make a one-time payment for unlimited travel for the day.
