Sv 400 during NDP Carnival

lol..my school is organising a learning journey to the carnival on 12 aug..i shall explore the chaos there and the buses..and the kids central village too!!

yes, its chaotic already..
i went at 12pm, there was nearly 15 400A parked along marina bay MRT, of which 5 are VO3x, mk4 DM3500, mk4 striders
more than 10 sv400 are used as well. (MB O405).
Good loads are seen on sv400A and by 2pm, the DDs had disappeared. sv400A BCs was by their buses and seen standing by the roadside, while some other sv400A BCs did trips after trips non-stop.
sv400 freq was at 5-7 mins (estimate), and sv400A has no fixed freq, but generally, 1-5 mins -

For me, I prefer 400, have baby with me... you can park your car opp Mediacorp TV12 station near prince edward ro0ad (where 400A turns) or somewhere near lau pa sat, or safest in chinatown. shenton way office carparks are locked at night and on sundays/ PHs.
on sv400, a family board >> along ECP at Marina South Exit ha.. apparently their bus cant get in. -

Some of the 400A buses come from Hougang Depot which deploy mostly Mk4 and Dm3500 buses which a bus conductor told me one. While Sv 400 will not go to Shenton Way Ter during 6 to 9 August but 8 August after only 1830 hours and also 13&14 August which they will depart from New Bridge Rd terminal and pass by the Shenton Way district but will not set out from Shenton Way Ter which I thought have. But actually 400 the load is quite good today with a lot of people taking during the afternoon.

The frequency for 400A is from 1 to 2 mins which a bus conductor told me while 400 is 6 to 7 mins. many sv400A buses and BCs are lying idle when i went on saturday. maybe SBS planners had overplanned and thought there will be great crowds, but it didnt turn out like that. also, 400A waste a lot of time looping back at shenton way are back into marina south..
actually, many sv400 customers comes from chinatown, with some more from the shenton house b/s.
IMO,this extended sv400 can remain like this permanently, will be a good arrangement, and can improve accessibility to marina south. -
I think partly as SMRT did not provide better frequency as promised... The better frequency is actually due to SWT bet MRB and AMK... I saw 1 sv 400 with only 1 passenger at Pickering St this afternoon at 4.50 PM.
